✧Taehyung carefully placed all eight diaries on the table, the familiar sight of the seven leather-bound volumes bringing a rush of emotions. Each was crafted from muted leather, adorned with a beautifully engraved tiger rose on the cover. But then his eyes landed on the eighth diary, distinct from the others. It was a dark red, almost scarlet, and bore the letter "V" embossed on its cover.
His breath hitched for a moment, the sight sending a rush of blood through his veins and igniting a spark of anxiety within him.
He couldn't shake the feeling that this diary was significant, perhaps even a key to understanding a whole secrets of Jeongguk better. As he gingerly picked it up, memories of their shared moments flooded his mind.
["The book was so great! See, I still have goosebumps!" Taehyung exclaimed in awe, showing his arm to Jeongguk. He had recently finished a mysterious novel recommended by Jeongguk and couldn't stop gushing about it. Jeongguk smiled at Taehyung's enthusiasm, continuing his own reading.
"Jeongguk, are you even listening?" Taehyung pouted, noticing the lack of attention.
"You're rambling on for hours, kid. Have you really never read a mystery novel before?" Jeongguk asked, amusement dancing in his eyes.
Taehyung shook his head, his pout deepening. "No! This is my first, and it's incredible!"
"How about we come up with a secret sign? You know, like in our lives we might need it," Taehyung suggested, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Hmm, sounds like a good idea. So what do you suggest?" Jeongguk finally turned his attention back to Taehyung, a glimmer of interest in his eyes.
"How about the initial 'X'? That way, if one of us is in danger or needs help, we'll know it's an emergency. Only we'll understand," Taehyung proposed, eyes shining with excitement.
Jeongguk chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Kid, that's a bit too obvious. The letter 'X' would make everyone suspicious."
Taehyung thought for a moment, then his face lit up. "How about 'V'? It's half of 'X,' and no one would suspect a thing!"
"'V' it is then!" Jeongguk agreed with a grin, nodding his head.
"It'll be our little secret," they both declared, their faces lighting up with the joy of discovery, like children who had just found something utterly fascinating.]
Taehyung's fingers trembled as he traced the letter "V" on the scarlet diary. The memories felt bittersweet, reminding him of the connection they had forged. What secrets could this diary hold? Why was it different from the others? With a mix of fear and curiosity, Taehyung opened the diary, eager to uncover what Jeongguk had left behind.
