Jungkook returned home after a long, exhausting day, his mind racing with thoughts of the company and the police work. He couldn’t shake off the weight of what he had learned.

Just the night before, he had called Eunwoo, asking him to run a check on whether the board members had really been blackmailed, a theory Taehyung had suggested.

To Jungkook’s dismay, the confirmation came: the board members had indeed been blackmailed. A hacker had infiltrated their systems, revealing that sensitive personal information had been leaked to certain individuals. The sender's IP was tightly secured, making it impossible to trace, but it was clear that only those members who had voted for the Celestial collaboration received the files.

Still, amidst the chaos of revelations, Jungkook couldn’t bring himself to entertain the idea that Yoongi could be involved in Jeongguk's death.

It felt absurd, a thought too painful to bear. How could he even consider that his brother, the one he looked up to, could be capable of something so heinous? The doubt gnawed at him, but he pushed it away, trying to focus on the facts rather than the fear that threatened to overwhelm him.

After his time spend at the police station, Jungkook headed to the rehab center. Each visit to see his mother filled him with warmth, a comfort he desperately needed. Although he had been going there every evening, witnessing her gradual recovery felt like a little ray of sunshine piercing through the clouds of his life.

He had assured his father not to worry about the company; he knew how dedicated his father was, and after a weeks of accompanying his wife at the rehab, he likely had enough on his plate without adding company stress to it. Jungkook chose not to mention the troubling developments regarding Celestial to his father—he didn’t want to add to his worries.

Now, he found himself in their penthouse, the familiar space bringing a sense of solace. His favorite moments were the ones shared with Taehyung, especially during breakfast and dinner. Their routines had become a sanctuary amid the chaos of their.

"How was the day in the studio?" Jungkook asked, noticing Taehyung seemed lost in his thoughts.

"Good," Taehyung replied with a shrug, his eyes still distant. "So, you did manage to clean up all the mess in the studio?" Taehyung asked, finally looking up at Jungkook.

"I didn’t know Jeongguk had a studio," Jungkook said, a trace of sadness in his voice. "So when I first went there, it was such a mess. It surprised me. The chaos felt so unlike him." He chuckled softly, shaking his head. "It was the opposite of how always Jeongguk would be."

Taehyung smiled at the thought, warmth filling his heart as he recalled his memories of Jeongguk. "He was so graceful in every aspect... but you should’ve seen him while he was writing," Taehyung said, his voice softening. "It was like he transformed into a whirlwind. Papers everywhere, the floor covered in drafts, and him just completely absorbed in his world. It was a beautiful mess."
