Jin huffed as he couldn't help but to replay the events in his mind, his heart still racing from the kiss with Jungkook. He had thought that letting Jungkook kiss him after eating a mango would trigger his allergy and make him see things differently. But the intense kiss had caught him off guard, leaving him a mix of emotions-mad, flustered, and a little smitten. Annoyed with himself, he headed back to their bedroom, seeking refuge in the familiar comfort of their space.
When he found Jungkook sprawled on the bed, looking fresh as ever while working on his laptop, Jin furrowed his brows. How could he be so composed after what had just happened? The sight of Jungkook, so engrossed in his work, made Jin's annoyance bubble up again, but he decided to ignore it for the moment and flopped onto the bed, burying his face in the pillows.
Jin's thoughts drifted back to the kiss. Maybe that kiss hadn't been enough. Maybe he needed to push Jungkook's buttons a little more to trigger his allergy. With a newfound determination, he peeked at Jungkook from beneath the covers.
"Don't you want a goodnight kiss?" Jin asked, feigning innocence, a sly smile tugging at his lips.
Jungkook's eyes widened at the question, and as much as he wanted to shout "yes," he forced himself to control that urge. What if his allergy acted up and affected Jin? He couldn't risk it. Instead, he shook his head gently, leaning down to place a soft kiss on Jin's forehead. "No need, darling. You're tired, so just have a good sleep," Jungkook replied with a smile, returning to his work as if the moment hadn't ignited a fire between them.
Jin huffed in annoyance, rolling onto his back to stare at the ceiling. Why was Jungkook always such a gentleman? It irritated him, but he couldn't deny the warmth spreading through him at Jungkook's tenderness.
Then a thought struck him. Was he really tired? He had spent the entire day cooped up inside, doing nothing but eating snacks and watching movies, and yet he felt restless. A wave of frustration washed over him. What was wrong with him?
Deciding to confront this feeling head-on, Jin propped himself up on his elbow, gazing at Jungkook with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I might not be tired, you know. Maybe I just need a little more excitement," he teased, a playful smile gracing his lips.
Jungkook chuckled softly, barely looking up from his laptop. "You're the one who wanted to stay in today. Remember?"
"Yeah, but that was before you made me feel all... fluttery with that kiss!" Jin retorted, his voice playful but laced with genuine frustration.
Jungkook finally turned his full attention to Jin, a knowing smirk playing on his lips. "You're blaming me for that?"
"Of course!" Jin exclaimed dramatically, flopping back onto the bed, arms spread wide. "You can't just kiss someone like that and then act like it was nothing!"
Jungkook's expression softened, and he leaned back, crossing his arms behind his head. "It wasn't nothing to me, darling. Also not just someone, only my husband." Jungkook retorted. "I want make sure my husband is okay."
"Okay?" Jin echoed incredulously. "I'm more than okay! I'm just trying to figure out how to make you feel what I feel!" He pouted, and Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle again.
"Maybe I just need another kiss," Jin said, leaning closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "What do you think?"
Jungkook's heart raced at the challenge in Jin's tone. The allure of another kiss was strong, but he couldn't ignore the looming risk of his allergy. "I think you should just... get some sleep," he said, his voice steady, though his resolve was beginning to waver.
Jin frowned, exasperated. "Ugh! You're impossible!"
With a sigh, he fell back against the pillows again, staring up at the ceiling. But the excitement bubbling beneath the surface wouldn't let him give in easily. Maybe, just maybe, he could find a way to get that kiss he craved and stir things up a little more between them.
