The gallery fell into a deathly silence. All eyes were on Jin, who stood tall with an air of nonchalance despite the chaos he’d just caused.

Even Jungkook, who had been in the middle of a conversation with one of his business partners, was rendered speechless.

What on earth could have made his darling so furious?

Without a second thought, Jungkook excused himself from the conversation and hurried over to Jin, his heart racing. He had never seen Jin this riled up in public before. His darling usually reserved his sass and sharp words for him. What had happened?

"Darling, what happened?" Jungkook asked softly, his voice calm but filled with concern. He placed a gentle hand on Jin’s arm, trying to gauge the situation.

Jin, still catching his breath from the punch, blinked at Jungkook. His expression quickly shifted from one of fiery irritation to casual indifference, as if nothing out of the ordinary had just occurred. "Nothing," he shrugged, waving his hand dismissively. "He annoyed me, so I beat him."

The response was so nonchalant that Jungkook almost laughed. Almost. Jin’s ability to act like punching someone in a high-class gallery was no big deal amazed him. But the real kicker was that Jin wasn’t even admitting why he’d done it. He would never tell his so-called husband that he had punched someone for bad-mouthing him. Even Jin seemed confused by his own actions, as if he hadn’t expected to lose his cool so quickly.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, glancing at the businessman who was now being helped to his feet, still clutching his face in shock. He turned his gaze back to Jin, his lips twitching slightly as he fought back a smile. "You… beat him?"

Jin crossed his arms and huffed, "I already told you, didn’t I? He was annoying." His eyes darted away, clearly trying to avoid Jungkook’s intense gaze.

But Jungkook wasn’t buying it. He knew Jin better than anyone. His darling could be rude, sassy, and bold, but he rarely ever got physical unless someone had truly crossed the line. Jungkook's heart swelled with pride, realizing that Jin had likely punched the man for something related to him.

Still, he couldn’t let Jin know that he’d figured it out. He leaned closer, his voice low, teasing yet affectionate. "I see… Well, next time, just let me know. I’ll deal with anyone who dares to annoy you."

Jin rolled his eyes, still pretending as if it was no big deal. "Whatever, Jeon. Just make sure you keep people like him away from me next time."

Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle at Jin’s growled words, his heart swelling with fondness. His lips curved into a smile, and anyone paying attention would’ve seen the literal heart eyes he had for Jin. But beneath that loving gaze, his eyes darkened as they flickered towards the businessman who had the nerve to disrupt Jin’s mood.

He wasn’t sure exactly what had happened to irritate Jin so much, but that didn’t matter. If someone dared to ruin his darling’s mood, they needed to be dealt with. Swiftly.

Keeping his expression professional, Jungkook turned his attention back to the man in question. His smile didn’t falter, but the intensity in his eyes spoke volumes.

"I’m not entirely sure what transpired here" Jungkook began smoothly, his voice carrying that calm but dangerous edge, "but rest assured, we’ll discuss this in more detail when I see you in my office."

The businessman blinked, clearly unsettled by the sudden shift in tone, while Jungkook’s gaze lingered for a second longer, ensuring the message was clear. He would not tolerate anything—or anyone—who disturbed Jin’s peace.
