"So, Mr. Jeon Seok Jin, can I take your bestie out on a date?" Taehyung asked,
Jin raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms as he eyed Taehyung. "Mr. Kim Taehyung, huh? You think just because you’ve got a pretty face and a fancy title you can get away with anything?"
Taehyung smirked, unfazed. "Well, I wouldn’t call it 'getting away with anything.' I’m just asking for a little favor."
Jin tilted his head, pretending to think for a moment. "Hmm, well... Jimin is my precious best friend, and I don't just hand him over to anyone." He glanced at Jimin, who looked a little embarrassed but also hopeful. "But," Jin continued, "I suppose if you pass my test... maybe I’ll give you my blessing."
Jimin’s eyes widened. "What test?"
Jin grinned. "Oh, you’ll see. Let’s just say, Taehyung, I need to know you can keep up with my standards for dating. You’ll have to impress me first."
Taehyung chuckled. "I’m all in, Jin. Name the test."
Jin looked at Jimin, then back at Taehyung. "Take him out on a date, show him a good time, treat him with respect, and—" he raised a finger, "—make sure you come back in one piece. That’s all."
Jimin snickered, but his smile faltered when he saw Jin’s serious expression. "And if I don't like it?" Jin asked, giving Taehyung one last warning glance.
Taehyung smiled. "Then we’ll know, won’t we?"
"Alright then, you've got my permission," Jin said, leaning back with a satisfied nod. "But don’t mess it up, Taehyung. My Jimin deserves nothing but the best."
"I will try to be best for him." Taehyung said, looking at Jimin with heart eyes and soft smile.
Jin, feeling enough satisfaction nodded. "Okay, you two can go."
Jimin smiled shyly as Taehyung happily jumped, grabbed Jimin's wrist and pulled him out.
Jin just watched them leaving like a parent.
"You're such a responsible bestie, darling." Jungkook said, nuzzling his face in Jin's neck as he hugged him from behind tightly.
"Of course. He is my one and only bestie baby Jiminie, I need to make sure he's in good hands."
"Darling, Jimin is really lucky to have you."
Jin leaned back into Jungkook’s embrace, feeling a warmth spread through him. "You know, I was so worried about Jimin... He’s been through so much, and I can't help but feel like I’m letting go of a part of myself by letting him go on dates. But I want him to be happy," Jin admitted softly.
Jungkook tightened his hold on Jin, his chin resting on his shoulder. "You’re a good friend, Jin. Not everyone would care that much."
"I know," Jin replied with a small smile. "But he's more than just a friend. He’s like family. I’ve always protected him, ever since we were kids."
Jungkook hummed in approval, his hand gently stroking Jin's side. "Well, you’re doing a great job. And hey, if anyone’s going to take care of him, it’s Taehyung. I trust him."
Jin smirked, glancing up at Jungkook. "Oh, you trust him, huh? That’s rich coming from you."
Jungkook laughed, rubbing his nose against Jin’s cheek. "What can I say? He’s family too, now. Besides, I’m more interested in making sure you’re happy, darling."
Jin raised an eyebrow but couldn’t suppress the small, pleased grin that tugged at his lips. "You’re too smooth, Jeon Jungkook."
"Only because you like it," Jungkook teased, kissing Jin’s neck again, making him shiver slightly.
