In the backseat, Jimin had been quietly watching Jin through the rearview mirror, noticing his sudden change in expression. He tried not to laugh, knowing exactly what was going on inside Jin’s head. Jin’s mischievous expressions were always a dead giveaway, and Jimin could already imagine what kind of trouble his best friend was planning to cause.
Meanwhile, Jungkook kept his eyes on the road, a small smile tugging at his lips. He had a feeling Jin was up to something, as always, but he couldn’t help but feel amused by it. He loved Jin's chaotic energy—no matter how much trouble Jin tried to stir, Jungkook found it endlessly entertaining.
"Darling, you seem deep in thought. Planning something special for the event?" Jungkook asked, his voice calm and teasing, as if he already knew what Jin was plotting.
Jin snapped out of his thoughts, startled for a moment. "W-What? No, no! I’m just, uh, enjoying the view!" He quickly turned back to the window, trying to act nonchalant.
Jungkook chuckled softly. "Whatever you’re thinking, I’m sure it’ll be… interesting."
Jin's eyebrow twitched at the word "interesting." He knew Jungkook was onto him, but that wasn’t going to stop him. In fact, it fueled him even more. Just you wait, Jeon Jungkook. You won’t see it coming.
As the car continued its smooth ride toward the art gallery, Jin leaned his head against the window, his inner monologue in full swing again.
I’ll do it. I’ll make him regret ever marrying me. All I have to do is make a scene, and his precious reputation will be ruined! Perfect. Absolutely perfect. I am a genius.
Jimin, who had been eavesdropping on Jin’s quiet muttering from the backseat, bit his lip to keep from bursting into laughter. Oh, this is going to be good, he thought, secretly delighted at the chaos that was about to unfold.
Jungkook, still smiling to himself, turned into the driveway of the gallery, oblivious to the storm of hilarious disaster that was brewing beside him.
As the car pulled up to the Art Gallery, Jin’s earlier plans of creating chaos seemed to falter as he stepped out and took in the grandeur of the building. The gallery stood tall and magnificent, its architecture a blend of modern and classic elegance. Jin's eyes widened as he took in the sheer opulence of the place.
The entrance was adorned with intricate sculptures and lush greenery, and inside, the gallery was nothing short of breathtaking. The expansive hall was filled with an array of stunning artworks, each piece more captivating than the last. Rich, vibrant colors and meticulous details in the paintings made it clear that this was not just any gallery—it was a sanctuary for some of the world's most prestigious art.
Jin’s mouth hung open slightly as he walked through the grand entrance, his earlier plans of embarrassing Jungkook forgotten. The sheer beauty and scale of the place left him momentarily speechless.
Wow, he thought, this place is… incredible.
Jungkook, ever the composed host, glanced at Jin with a knowing smile as he led him further inside. "I’m glad you like it. This gallery is one of my favorite places."
Jin nodded absently, still taking in the surroundings. The walls were lined with masterpieces, and elegant chandeliers cast a warm glow over the space. The hum of polite conversation filled the air as guests in exquisite attire moved gracefully among the exhibits.
How could I possibly mess this up? Jin mused. His earlier determination to create a scene seemed to crumble in the face of such grandeur.
The art, the atmosphere, and the people—all combined to make him feel like a small fish in a vast, luxurious pond.
