"Jeon Seok Jin!"
Jungkook exclaimed as soon as he entered the study room, his face sweaty will worry and a bit of anger. He was all worried when he returned home to find the house all empty.
His fear however, faded into confusion seeing Jin sitting together with Jongyoong, both giggling and laughing like teenagers watching photo album."Oh. My hubby! See I told you it won't take a minute for him to freak out not seeing me in the house." Jin exclaimed.
"Honestly never seen my grandson like this." Jongyoong said amazed.
Jungkook was surprised first time seeing his grandpa's soft side, not cold.
Jin stood up went to Jungkook and say, gently wiping off his sweats from his forehead with his sleeve. "Why so worry Hmm? I was just here to meet hyung and now grandpa." He giggled.
"What?" Jungkook glance at his grandpa then at Jin.
"Nothing anyway you came from work fast today." Jin asked.
"Ah yes...I finished my work faster than usual," Jungkook murmured, sighing in relief as he finally let go of his worry and pulled Jin into a tight embrace. Having Jin by his side was a comfort he could never take for granted.
"Oh, wait. Now you've calmed down, haven't you?" Jin said, backing away. "See, we were watching photo album." He said, sitting next to Jongyoong and hugged him tight who smiled in return.
Jungkook’s usually cold, stoic expression softened as he watched them together. Since when had his grandpa been so gentle, so warm? It felt surreal to see Jongyoong, a man Jungkook had always known as strict and reserved, laughing and sharing smiles with Jin as if they’d known each other for years. And it was clear—his grandpa already liked Jin.
Jin seemed to notice Jungkook’s gaze and winked playfully, as if to say, Told you I’d win him over. Jungkook couldn’t help but smile back, his heart swelling with a mix of gratitude and admiration.
Jongyoong watched the scene before him, a soft smile gracing his face as he observed the warmth between his grandson and Jin. A pang of regret tugged at him—how foolish he had been to even consider breaking such a precious bond. The love they shared was so pure, so genuine; it filled the room in a way that softened even the hardest of hearts.
Seeing Jungkook’s relief and Jin’s gentle care reminded Jongyoong of something he thought he'd lost long ago—a family bound by love and trust. He was beginning to understand why Jungkook was so devoted to Jin, and he felt grateful for this chance to witness it up close.
"Anyway... How long have you been here? D- did he say anything?"
"Of course. He told me everything." Jin exclaimed, plopping down on the couch beside Jongyoong.
Jungkook blinked, momentarily taken aback as he looked between Jin and his grandfather. Jin was hugging Jongyoong’s arm with a big grin, and his enthusiasm was almost infectious.
"We’re besties now," Jin declared proudly, holding up a photo. "He showed me the whole album! Look, here’s Dad Yoongi and... oh, Hubby, look at you!" Jin pointed to a picture of young Jungkook, chubby-cheeked and pouting.
Jungkook’s cheeks flushed as he took in the scene, a mix of embarrassment and warmth washing over him. "I… I was just a kid!" he mumbled, scratching the back of his head, though a small smile tugged at his lips.
Jongyoong chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You were always stubborn, even back then," he teased, sharing a rare smile with Jungkook before looking at Jin. "But I have to say, you’re quite the charmer, Jin. It’s no wonder you’ve enchanted my grandson."
