Jin blinked his eyes open, confusion clouding his mind as he glanced around the unfamiliar room.
With a start, he sat up, rubbing his eyes in disbelief. This wasn't his room. Panic began to creep in as Jin frantically surveyed his surroundings, trying to piece together how he had ended up here.
It wasn't until he took a closer look that he realized he was in his best friend Jimin's room.
"Oh god, what a relief,"
Jin breathed out, his tension disappeared as he relaxed back onto the bed.
"What happened?" Jimin entered the room, carrying a spare set of clothes.
Jin giggled softly, shaking his head.
"Nothing, I thought someone kidnapped me," he joked, stifling a yawn as he got out of bed.
"Here, take this, freshen up. Your mom called last night. Don't worry, I handled her,"
Jimin said, handing Jin a pair of pants and a shirt. Jin nodded gratefully before heading to the bathroom to freshen up.
Afterward, the two friends sat in the kitchen, where Jin happily dug into his breakfast.
While eating, a sudden realization struck him, and he turned to Jimin with a curious expression.
"I think I was drunk last night. How could you bring me here?" he asked, eyebrows raised inquisitively.
"You think I brought you here?" Jimin asked with a blank and curious face, causing Jin to pause in surprise.
"You didn't?" Jin's confusion deepened as he stopped eating, giving Jimin a puzzled look.
"O- of course I did. Who else would bring you here?" Jimin chuckled,
"By the way, did you treat my cheek?" Jin inquired suddenly, his tone shifting as he remembered something from the previous night.
"Huh?" Jimin's expression turned puzzled as he blinked in confusion.
"When I went to freshen up, I saw the red marks on my cheek had faded. Did you apply ointment by any chance last night? I told you it's fine. You always worry. I feel like you've used every ointment you found near on my cheeks,"
Jin teased, taking a sip of his juice. Jimin's cheeks flushed slightly before he awkwardly laughed off Jin's words, avoiding eye contact.
The room fell into a heavy silence, punctuated only by the clinking of Jin's utensils against his plate and the sound of Jimin's uneven breaths as he fidgeted with his hands.
Eventually, Jimin gathered his resolve and broke the quiet.
"By the way, Jin, do you remember anything from last night?"
"No, I don't. You know I can't remember anything when I'm drunk,"
Jin chuckled in response, his tone light despite the weight of the question.
"Right. Do you by any chance remember there was this man... misbehaving with us?"
Jimin's voice wavered slightly, a hint of uncertainty threading through his words.
"Oh yes, I do!" Jin's eyes widened with sudden recollection. "I was dancing when I noticed you weren't with me. That man in the suit was trying to touch you inappropriately, I saw it. But then, I don't remember much after that. What a bastard. If I wasn't drunk, I'd show him hell for treating my bestie that way."
"Do you know who he was?" Jimin's tone shifted, conveying a seriousness that Jin couldn't ignore.
"No, unfortunately, I don't remember his face... Who was he? Do you know him? Tell me his name, and I'll make him forget his own name,"
