One month later. Freida woke up with a massive headache, she glanced at Wilhelm who was still asleep, there was just one problem, Wilhelm was hugging Freida's waist, creasing her nightdress. Freida tried to slither through Wilhelm's arms but everytime she did so, Wilhelm would snore and tighten his grip. Freida huffed in frustration. She eventually managed to unlink Wilhelm's arms.

As she got up, a horrible feeling shot up her trachea, she dashed for the ensuite and placed her head at the bowl of the toilet. She was then sick. Fredia's face turned pale, could this be what she thought it was? She stumbled out of the room, leaving Wilhelm still asleep.

"My lady are you alright?" Helmine asked as she was walking along the corridor. The palace staff got up a couple of hours earlier than everyone else so it was unusual for Freida to be up at this hour.

"No, not at all Helmine. I feel really ill, I was just sick in the toilet and I have a headache." Freida complained holding her head. Helmine thought for a moment then almost jumped at the prospect.

"How long was it since your last period?" Helmine asked.

"About three weeks?" Freida said cautiously. "What exactly are you driving at?"

"She means that you are pregnant my dear." A voice boomed from behind them, it was Raidance, still in her nightdress. Freida started to panic.

"Preg..." Freida started to shout but Helmine and Raidance shushed her, gesturing to the next room, the Kaiser's light breathing barely eminating through the doors. "Pregnant!" Freida exclaimed quietly. "That's impossible, I can't get pregnant, I'm infertile!"

"You never told me." Raidance said, stunned, having known Freida ever since Wilhelm and ehr became freinds. "Who told you this?"

"The preists in the temple of Marranade." Freida said.

"When did you start beleiving in them!" Radiance exclaimed. "You know the church is corrupt! They would sell your soul, even if it meant they got a single gold coin."

"The temple especially," Helmine added, "is very corrupt. When I was a quatergirl at the temple, I helped clean the stone floors, I overheard the bishops say that they make up illnesses of people in order for people to pay money to the church for forgiveness. I left for the Germanic regions which now consist of the German Reich at that point."

"How did you do that?" Freida asked.

"I hid in a horse and cart then swam a river under a barrel." Helmine said, Freida and Raidance were impressed, they realised there was a reason she was hired as most maids had seen combat and were proficient with a rifles and pistols that were concealed within their uniforms, as another line of defense. "Maybe you could use one of the new 'pregancy tests' that were introduced to the markets."

"Pregnancy tests?" Raidance questioned.

"Yeah, some of the maids use them as they have partners outside work. I have heard they are quite reliable. You could also go to the hospital and have a doctor check up on you." Helmine suggested.

"Oh no I can't go to the hospital," Freida paused as she suppressed her morning sickness, "I have to see through Wilhelm's birthday celebrations."

"Of course it's Wilhelm's birthday today." Raidance gasped, slapping her forehead as she did so. "I'm surprised he let you plan any celebrations, he normally doens't like to celebrate his birthday."

"Oh, I 'convinced' him." Freida said snarkily, Helmine chuckled as she covered her mouth. Freida then rushed back to the toilet as she threw up. Helmine and Raidance looked at eachother as Charlotte and Bernadette walked through, in their white and gold hussar uniforms. They were quickly brought to light on the situation, and they all agreed that with Freida's condition that she would not be able to oversee Wilhelm's celebration.
