" Hey do you know that guy, Ash?"

" Yeah we grew up together."

" Ahhh, I see. Then you two must be rivals."

" Yeah, I guess you could say that."

Suddenly, Misty's eyes widenend. " Duck!"

Ash gasped. " Duck? Where?!"

" Not you, Ash. Wisty, duck!"

Ash turned to see her sister boarding, her Eevee pulling her.

He also saw her go smack into a tree.

" I'm fine, Eevee. I'm fine." She muttered as she stood up, then shook her head. " Yeesh, Eve. You need to go a lot slower."

Then she saw her brother. " Oh, hiya Ash!"

" Wisty? What are you doing here?"

"  Oh, nothing. I just ad to come to see my brother, didn't I?"

" Professor Oak sent you on a mission?"

" What do YOU think?"

Ash shrugged. " What's he want now?"

Wisty shrugged. " Something about a Clefairy sighting and blah blah. He wants me to catch one."

" You're gonna do it the old fashion way?"

Wisty nodded. " Uh huh. See ya 'round, Ash."

Jackson stared as Wisty walked away. " Hey Ash you know her?"

" Yeah she's my sister."

Misty smiled faintly. " Ash and Wisty are more alike than they'd think."

Ash's face snapped to Misty. " We are not! Everyone calls me by my name, but we call Wisty by a nickname!"

" You mean Wisty's not her real name?" Harrison asked.

Ash nodded. " Yeah. But she likes to be called Wisty. But me and my friend have given her a nickname other than Wisty."

" What is it?" Harrison wanted to know.

" Monstor." A voice said from behind Ash.

Brock waved. " Hi Gary!"

Harison's eyebrows shot up. " Gary's the friend?!"

Ash sighed. " Yep."

Jackson furrowed his brows. " Is that why you said ' yeah, i guess you could say that' when Harrison asked if you were rivals."

Ash and Gary looked around, then sighed in relief. " Thank goodness she's not here." Gary muttered.

" You have no idea." Ash replied.

" What happened?" Harrison asked.

" Wisty likes to tease them." Brock piped up.

" About?"

Gary and Ash waved their hands. " WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT!"

Jackson, Harrison, and Misty exchanged glances, now more intrigued than ever.

"Oh, come on," Misty prodded, smirking. "It can't be that bad!"

Ash and Gary exchanged a look that was both wary and exhausted. "Trust us," Gary muttered, "it is."

"Yep," Ash added quickly. "You don't know Wisty like we do. She's a master at teasing, especially when she knows something we'd rather keep quiet."

Harrison chuckled. "Sounds like a real monster."

"Exactly why we call her that," Gary muttered under his breath.

Just then, they heard a familiar voice behind them. "Did I hear someone mention Monster?" Wisty grinned, crossing her arms as she walked up with Eevee beside her.

Ash and Gary both jumped. "Wisty!" they yelped in unison, scrambling to recover their cool.

Wisty leaned in with a mischievous smirk. "Miss me, boys?"

Jackson stifled a laugh as Ash and Gary tried to act unfazed. Misty's smile widened as she nudged Harrison. "See what I mean?"

Wisty glanced around, clearly enjoying her brother and Gary's discomfort. "Anyway," she continued with a grin, "I caught wind of a Clefairy near here. Thought maybe I'd get to work."

Ash nodded too quickly. "Sounds good! Really good. Go catch that Clefairy!"

"Nice try, Ash." She tapped his shoulder. "But first, I was hoping you two could help me. After all, you're so close and in sync."

Gary and Ash groaned, but Wisty just winked. "See you soon, best friends." With that, she strolled off, laughing quietly to herself as Ash and Gary exchanged a resigned sigh.

" Thank goodness that's over." Ash sighed.

Gary nodded. " Yeah. Thank goodness."

Harrison nudged Jackson. "Guess they ARE friends."

The boys heard. " NO!" They yelled, a little too loudly.

The four others laughed. " Right, Ash." Misty teased. " Keep telling yourself that."
