" Gary......" Oak warned as his grandson slowly walked to the Aerodactyl.
It was calm, and calm, and calm.
And Gary relaxed.
Then it let out a roar, and Gary went stumbling back.
" AERO!" It yelled as it started to run to Gary. He put his hand in front of his face to shield himself.
But nothing happened.
" Aerodactyl stand down!" Someone commanded from the bushes.
Aerodactyl stopped.
Oak and the others ran to Gary. " Are you okay?" Tracey asked.
Gary nodded, then stared at the bushes in awe. " Someone.... saved me."
The person jumped out. They were wearing a yellow dress with a cat image on it
They also had a purple sling bag on their shoulder.
But one foot had a vine bandage on it.
The girl approached the Aerodactyl. " Aerodactyl, this is the friend I was talking about. He's my friend, Airy. I shoulda told you. Sorry."
Aerodactyl nudged the girl and she laughed.
" I know, I know. Cubone came and hit you with his stick making you a fossil. I know."
Then Aerodactyl saw her foot. " Aero?"
The girl rolled her eyes. " Really?"
The girl turned, and Gary and the others gasped.
" Wisty?!"
Wisty turned. " Oh hi guys."
Eevee, Chikitita and Minccino jumped out of the bushes. " Eveveveveveve!"
" Chika! Chika chika!"
" Min! Cino!"
Wisty sighed. " Would you please stop? My leg is fine. Besides you heard the professor."
" I'm right here you know." Oak said in a flat voice.
Wisty grinned. " Oh hi there!"
Then she turned to the prehistoric Pokemon. " Okay listen. I have to go the Gary's lab, okay? Ash needs something. S-"
Before she could say anything, Aerodactyl grabbed her dress and picked her up
" Aerodactyl what are you doing?!" She exclaimed as she wiggled in the air. " Put me down!"
Aerodactyl let go of her.
She fell to the ground, hitting the dirt face first.
" Ew!" She exclaimed as she spit all the dirt out. " Aero!"
" Aero!*
Wisty sighed. " Fine, fine. If you insist. Fly me to his lab."
" Wisty let me take a look at that leg!" Gary exclaimed as he and the others entered the lab.Wisty was busy on the lab computer.
" Eevee, what did my brother need again?"
" Eve!"
" Right. Sorry. I keep forgetting."
She tapped a few things and sighed, then picked the phone. " Okay Ash you can do it again."
" Thanks. And how's your leg?"
" Fine. Why wouldn't it be?"
" Uh huh. Okay. See ya later Dimples."
" Bye Ashy."
Oak watched Wisty with a stern expression, arms crossed. "Wisty, I really think you should return home."
Wisty spun around, looking at him in disbelief. "But you sent me on a mission!"
"That was before I saw your leg!" Oak countered, gesturing to the vine-wrapped bandage on her ankle. "That doesn’t look like it’s getting better."
Wisty huffed, crossing her arms defiantly. "Too late now. Besides, I’ve got things to do." She turned to her Pokémon. "Come on, guys, we need to move!"
As she headed for the door, Tracey looked at her with a slight frown. "Won't you at least stay for lunch, Wisty?"
She paused, flashing him a smile. "Thanks, Trace, but not now. Ash is counting on me, and I’m not about to let him down." She waved as she and her Pokémon headed out, leaving Oak sighing heavily.
Gary watched her go, shaking his head. "She’s as stubborn as they come, isn’t she?"
Oak chuckled. "Runs in the family."
As Wisty walked out, Aerodactyl swooped down next to her, letting out a cheerful "Aero!" as he nudged her.
She patted him with a smile. "Guess it’s just you and me, buddy."
