As they went to the gates, two Beanish guards standing in front of the gate stopped them.
"Halt! You there! Halt! You can't just waltz on in here! The town has just been attacked! Which means the Castle could be attacked at any moment!" Guard 1 said.
"Lady Lima has instructed us not to allow anyone to enter the Castle! Anyone whatsoever!" Guard 2 said.
"Having said that, if you still wish to enter, you must explain your names and your motives!" Guard 1 said.
"Alright. I'm-a Mario, this is my brother Luigi, and these are our friends (Y/N), Eve, Ash, Pikachu, and Goh.
"WHAT?! You are the world-famous Mario?! And YOU are the legendary Luigi?!" Guard 2 said in surprise.
"Uh... Luigi-who?" Guard 1 said, confused.
"Shh! I have no idea..." Guard 2 said, making Luigi fall on the ground.
"Man... Poor Luigi," (Y/N) said.
"Yeah. Can they at least give him as much recognition as they give to Mario?" Ash said.
"Um... Sorry. Can you all in the back step back for a moment, please?" Guard 1 asked. Everyone stood back, and Guard 1 turned his attention to the Mario Bros.
"If you really are the superstar, Mario from the Mushroom Kingdom, then prove it!" He said.
"Okay!" Mario said before doing a jump.
"Th-That jump... No mistaking it!!" Guard 2 said in shock.
"Th-This guy is really Mario???" Guard 1 said.
"Anyway... What business would the famous Mario and Lui-uh... other guy and their friends have in this castle?"
"Well, we're here to get Princess Peach's voice back, and Prince Peasley told us to come here after rescuing him," Mario explained.
"Hmm! Ah! Ho ho! Ahhh! Ohhh! I see! Gotcha!" Guard 2 said.
"What do they want?" He said again.
"No clue..." Guard 1 said, making everyone fall on the ground.
"...Enough! Regardless of all that nonsense, you may not enter. Now begone!" He said. (Y/N) has had enough. A raging aura flared up around her. She was ready to punch the guards' lights out, but the others stopped her.
"Mama, please don't do something you'll end up regretting," Eve said.
"It looks like we're gonna need proof, Luigi," Mario whispered to Luigi.
"Proof? Uh... Hmm... Maybe this rose?" Luigi said after pulling out the rose Prince Peasley gave him. The guards then noticed it.
"Prince Peasley's rose! Are you all friends of the prince of Beanson?" Guard 2 asked.
"Yes," (Y/N) said, calming down.
"Umm, listen, I think maybe we ought to let these guys inside!" Guard 1 said.
"Umm... OK. Taking into account that rose and your wacky story, we can
allow you to enter!" Guard 2 said
"That was one wacky story! Woo!" Guard 1 said as both guards moved out of the way.
"Well, that's that. Now, let's go inside!" (Y/N) said as they all entered the castle.
Once they were inside, they noticed that the inside of the castle seemed to be... abandoned and barren.
"This is place kinda giving me the creeps," (Y/N) said.
"Yeah. Moreover, where is everybody?" Goh asked.
