Chapter 58

*dream state(?)*

(Y/N) woke up not in her room, but in an area filled to the brim with darkness. No one nor a thing was in sight. Nothing but pure darkness.

"What the...? Where am I?" She said. She then began to walk around, hoping to find something. Then, out of nowhere, she saw Eve in the distance, looking elsewhere.

"Eve? What are you doing here?" She said.

Eve then turned around and saw (Y/N).

"Mama?" Eve said.

As soon as the two began to get close to each other, unknown to Eve, a bunch of shadows began to attack her from behind and swallowed her whole.

"Eve!! No!!" (Y/N) said.

Then, she saw the others, Ash, Pikachu, Goh, Arle, Carbuncle, Amitie, and Ringo. Suddenly, they were attacked by mysterious shadows as well.

'Why... Why is this happening...?' She thought. 'If this is a dream... someone please wake me up...'

Then, the shadows turned to (Y/N) with evil smiles and laughs. They then began to go after her. She tried sending out Star Bubbles at them, but they went through the shadows, having no effect. A chill went down the (H/C)-ette's spine as her senses became to scream, "Run away!" And that's exactly what she did. The shadows then began to chase her. The whole area began to darken as she ran.

"No!! Get away from me!" She said, hoping that she would lose them. At that moment, she felt powerless. Helpless that she lost the chance to help her friends, even if it was in a dream. Then, as soon as she was about to lose hope, a light was seen in the distance.

"A way out!" She said. "Please, someone tell me if I'm dreaming!"

She then continued running towards the light. As soon as it was in reach, everything went white for. Little did she know that her first dream adventure was about to begin.

*scene change*

(Y/N) then woke up, confused. She looked around and saw that she was in a place full of hills filled with water and vegetation. The small angel creatures, known as Nightopians, can be seen singing, dancing, walking, making bubbles, and even fishing cake.

"What is this place...?" She mumbled.

Then, a voice spoke to her. "Hey. Are you okay?" It said. (Y/N) then looked to her left and saw a girl with pink hair tied in a ponytail.

"Who are you?" (Y/N) asked.

"I'm Claris," the other girl said. "And you are?"

"I'm (Y/N)," (Y/N) said as Claris helped her up. "More importantly, what is this place?"

"I have no idea," Claris said. Suddenly, a pair of strange creatures attacked and took away each of the girls' silver orbs away from them to large container somewhere.

"Hey! Wait! Give those back!" (Y/N) said.

"Just what is it they want from us?" Claris pondered.

"Hey! You two!" A voice called out.

As the two girls looked around, they noticed a purple jester-like figure waving at them and trapped inside a cage.

"Over here!" They said. The girls then got closer to the purple jester. They then took a look at the two girls and noticed something off.

"I knew it. The Nightmarens took each one of your Ideal Ideya's," they said.

"Our... Ideya's?" Claris asked. "What are you talking about?"

"I'll explain later! For now, let's dualize!" The jester said.

They then took the girls by the hand, and the duo merged with them. The jester then began to fly away.

"Hold on! We didn't get your name yet!" (Y/N) said, currently dualized with the jester.

"Oh, right. Where are my manners? My name's NiGHTS," the purple jester said.

"I'm (Y/N)," (Y/N) introduced herself.

"And my name is Claris," Claris did the same.

"Well, nice to meet you, Claris and (Y/N)!" NiGHTS said. "Now, let's go!"

NiGHTS then began flying around the area until they saw one of the Ideya's trapped inside a container called the Ideya Capture. They spun and busted through the container, successfully getting of the Ideya's.

"Now, to get this back to the Ideya Palace," they said. They then took a route and flew back to the deya Palace they were imprisoned in and placed the Ideya in it.

"Is that it?" Claris said.

"Not yet. There's still three more to find," NiGHTS said. Then, for the other Ideya trapped in Ideya Captures around the area, they went and destroyed the Ideya Captures and took the Ideya back to the Ideya Palace one by one until they were all placed inside the Palace.

"That's about all of them!" NiGHTS said.

Suddenly, they were shifted into a different area. There, they encountered a huge green and blue crossbreed of a dragon and a tadpole with a blue and yellow face, a long tail, and pink and yellow spikes. It also had a blue horn on top and large spikes on the bottom. There were also green bat wings near the tadpole gills.

"Gillwing..." NiGHTS said.

"Uh... Who's Gillwing?" Claris asked.

"Gillwing's the knuckleheaded brawn of the Nightmarens and one of Wizeman's lackeys," NiGHTS said.

Gillwing, personally taking NiGHTS' insult, screamed angrily and flew towards NiGHTS to attack.

"Ahh! He's coming!" (Y/N) said.

NiGHTS then flew away from where Gillwing was about to attack them. "No big deal!" They said. They then flew at Gillwing while spinning like a drill. As soon as they reached Gillwing, they popped his head. That was enough to make the two girls scream in horror.

"You... you popped his head off!" Claris said.

"Are you crazy?!" (Y/N) commented.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but it's not over yet!" NiGHTS said.

Gillwing's head then grew back, and his eyes looked angrily at NiGHTS.

"NiGHTS? Can't you, like, use magic or something?" (Y/N) asked.

"No need for that, (Y/N)," NiGHTS said. They then flew towards the end of Gillwing's tail and did a paraloop. The paraloop then began to suck in the tail and destroyed it, rendering Gillwing unconscious and spelling his defeat.

Suddenly, afterward, (Y/N) felt like she was being separated from NiGHTS and Claris.

"NiGHTS...? Claris...?" She said.
