Chapter 53

3rd Person POV
The gang then headed back to Mystic Ruins with Eve carrying another stone she found in Station Square. They then reached a cold cave. There, they noticed a tablet that could hold the Ice Stone.

The Ice Stone then floated out of Eve's hands and landed on the tablet, opening up a path to an icy cave. Sonic, Tails, (Y/N) and Eve went in and climbed a ladder, leading them to a snowy area.

The way out was a long way up, so their only option was to climb their way to the top until they found themselves in a snowfield out of a cave. Suddenly, a loud rumbling can be heard from behind them. Eve turned around and saw an avalanche.

"Incoming!" She shouted.

Then, the four saw four snowboarding lying around. They each got on one and made their way downhill. Moving down the slopes wasn't easy, though. They had to avoid obstacles from blocking their path, including trees. Then, once they made it to the lowest part of the hill, a green Chaos Emerald was in sight. (Y/N) went and grabbed it.

"That's another one down!" She cheered. Then, an ice blue light appeared next to her, and another elemental charm, which represented a snowflake, fell to her hand.

"Is that another elemental charm?" Tails asked.

"Yep. And in the snow, too," (Y/N) said as she put the charm in her bag.

"C'mon. Let's not keep the others waiting," Sonic said.

*timeskip*

As everyone made their way back to the Mystic Ruins, they encountered a red echidna with red shoes and violet eyes.

"Who's that? A friend of yours?" Ash asked.

"What's up, Knuckles?" Sonic asked the red echidna. Knuckles didn't say a word. He launched a punch at Sonic, causing Sonic to dodge and everyone else to move away.

"Hey! Watch it!" Amitie said.

"Somethin' buggin' you?" Sonic asked.

"No time for games, Sonic! Give me the Emeralds you have! Right now!" Knuckles said.

"What's?! Let's just see you take 'em, huh!" Sonic said as he prepared to fight Knuckles.

"Both of you, please, stop!" Tails said.

"Something tells me that this is not going to end well..." Ringo said with a sweatdrop.

The two then began their fight. They both were equal, but Sonic was coming out on top. Then, as soon as the two ran at each other one more time, the two Chaos Emeralds fell from Sonic.

"Not again!" Eve said. Eveyone tried to grab them, but it was too late. Eggman grabbed them first.

"Oh, come on!" (Y/N) groaned.

"Ha! Like taking candy from a baby!" Eggman said.

"That's a Chaos Emerald!" Knuckles said.

"Two of them, in a way," Ringo said.

"That's right, fool! You made it all too easy!" Eggman said. "You practically gave them to me!"

"That Eggman... Always playing dirty tricks one way or another...!" Ash commented.

Sonic then turned to Knuckles. "Knuckles! Don't tell me Eggman tricked you again?" He said.

"Me? What about you?" Knuckles asked.

"Way to go, Knucklehead," Sonic commented.

"Now, I have 4 lovely Emeralds," Eggman said. "Chaos!" Then, at Eggman's command, Chaos appeared. This time, with two Emeralds inside him.

"These are for you, my friend," Eggman said as he tossed the two Emeralds he had to Chaos. Then, as soon as they went inside Chaos, his appearance changed once again with four Emeralds now inside him.

"Ah! He transformed again!" Tails said.

"Man, no one ever cuts us any slack!" Sonic said.

"This goes ill!" (Y/N) said as she pulled out the wind charm from her bag. "And I'm sick of it!" She then inserted the charm in her compact, allowing herself to transform into her new elemental form. The wind elemental form contains a light green short dress with breeze patterns at the bottom of the dress. The dress's color is separated into two tones with the top lighter and the bottom darker. On the hands, the wielder wears green fingerless gloves with white ends. At the bottom, what are worn are green tall boots with small green gem pieces near the heel. Finally, (Y/N) wears a green breeze-shaped hair clip at the left side of their hair/hijab.

"Woah! (Y/N)? Is that you?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, it's me," (Y/N) said. "But enough about me. Let's take care of Chaos!"

Chaos then moved to a nearby lake, much to Sonic's dismay.

"Ugh... a river? Really?" He groaned.

"What? Do Sonic and water don't mix well?" Goh asked.

"He's a hedgehog, Goh. Hedgehogs can't swim," Ringo said.

"Let me try something," (Y/N) said as a small tornado appeared on her finger. She then moved it down.

"Air Walk!" She said. Then, in a gust of wind, everyone, excluding Chaos, was surrounded by a windy aura.

Then, as soon as she landed on the river filled with lotus pads, she noticed that she wasn't falling into the water. She was above it.

"What just happened?" Amitie asked.

"I think that gust of wind Mama let out just gave her the ability to walk on air," Eve said. "And since the wind spread to us, we might be able to do the same!"

"I never thought you'd be capable of doing that. That's awesome, (Y/N)!" Sonic commented.

"Now, let's go!" Arle said as everyone moved to the lake where Chaos is.

Chaos was currently underwater. Then, with a swing of his tail, he released an energy wave. Luckily, everyone dodged by jumping. Then, his head began poking out, and Sonic saw this as his chance to jump and dash towards it.

Chaos then went back underwater again and began swimming around. Then, as soon as he appeared behind Eve, he was about to swing his tail again, but Eve noticed and quickly moved out of the way before he was able to do so. Then, as soon as his head poked out, Knuckles went and punched him.

Chaos once again went back in the water and did the same thing, but this time, he made a wave to destroy the lily pads.

"Ugh! Why can't he even fight fair?!" (Y/N) said.

"We just have to hold on a little longer," Tails said.

Then, as soon as Chaos' head poked out again, Tails went and tackled it.

The fourth time Chaos poked his head out after going underwater, (Y/N) then made two balls of wind energy appear on her hands.

"Dual Bluster!" She shouted as she tossed the two orbs at Chaos, blasting him into water droplets.

Everyone then went back to land, and the wind aura disappeared. Suddenly, a large airship appeared from the sky.

"What in the world...?" Arle said.

"Behold my floating masterpiece, the Egg Carrier!" Eggman said. "But it pales in comparison to the power of Chaos! Adieu! Until we meet again, my friends." He then went inside the Egg Carrier, and the Egg Carrier flew away.

"Hey, we can't let him get away!" Tails said. "Let's get to my workshop, and we'll take the Tornado!"

"Yeah!" Sonic said.

"Good thing I have enough energy to transform into a bigger dragon," Eve said.

"Great," (Y/N) said.

"You guys go!" Knuckles said. "I have some unfinished business to take care of."

"No, problem, Knuckles!" Sonic said. "We'll take care of everything here!"

"Come on, let's get going!" Tails said.
