Later, everyone was relaxing at the Mystic Ruins with Sonic.

"Ahh... It took a while, but Eggman finally learned his lesson," (Y/N) said.

"Yep," Ash said. "Oh, yeah. What are you planning to do, Sonic?"

"I was thinking of taking a vacation somewhere," Sonic said.

Then, a familiar voice called out. "Everyone!" It said. They then looked and saw Tails running towards them.

"Oh! Hey, Tails!" Arle said.

"Did you find the Tornado 2?" Sonic asked.

"Never mind that. Get up and follow me!" Tails said. "Angel Island is falling again!"

"Again?" Goh asked.

"Hey, no way!" Sonic commented.

"How did it happen?" Eve asked.

"I don't know, but we'd better hurry!" Tails said.

Everyone got up and followed Tails to where Angel Island fell. As they got close, they saw Knuckles and Eggman lying on the ground.

"Knuckles... and Eggman?!" Ringo said.

"What just happened?" Amitie asked.

"He stole my Chaos Emeralds, and Chaos is still alive!" Knuckles said.

"WHAT?!" Everyone said in shock.

Eggman then slowly got up. "Aaargh! He's not gonna get away with this!" He said. He then got up on his hovercraft and floated away

"Hey Eggman! Wait up!" Knuckles said.

"Chaos is still standing? I thought we thrashed him for good!" (Y/N) said.

"Everyone... Chaos is a fearsome beast. If he gets that last Chaos Emerald, we're done for!" Knuckles said.

"No need to explain. We'll get on it!" Sonic said before turning to the others. "Guys?"

"Yeah!" Everyone said.

Suddenly, the small red light from earlier appeared and circled around Sonic and (Y/N). Then, a bright light appeared before them.

*Flashback*

They then appeared at the same place where the disaster occurred.

"Wait... Is this place...?" (Y/N) asked.

"It's not a dream after all..." Sonic said.

The two then got closer to the sanctum. There, they noticed the same female echidna from the previous vision trying to prevent other echidnas from proceeding further to the sanctum.

"Get out of the way, Tikal!" The elder echidna said.

"No!" Tikal refused.

"Obey at once!" The elder echidna said.

"I refuse!" Tikal said.

"We need the 7 Chaos Emeralds to give us power!" The elder echidna said. "This is for the people. Understand that they are your people, too. We must get that Emerald!"

"Greed is our enemy!" Tikal argued. "And once it takes you over, you'll always end up wanting more! So, please! Don't do this!"

"Silence!" The elder echidna said. "It's pointless to listen to the words of a child. Ready, men! Charge!"

"Father!" Tikal shouted.

He and his army then pushed Tikal and the Chao's away and moved towards the Master Emerald. Suddenly, the seven Chaos Emeralds then levitated next to the Master Emerald with power. Once they got close to the Master Emerald, Chaos appeared before them.
