Chapter 62

With an opening of the (H/C)-ette's eyes, a new area appeared before her eyes. It was a museum set around a European-style garden. However, unlike the usual museums and gardens' walls, these walls didn't have a solid texture. Instead, they had a bouncy texture. Nightopians and Mepiand were seen doing their usual hobbies. They were also making sculptures of NiGHTS.

"Okay, now where's Claris?" (Y/N) asked as she began to look around. Then, a familiar pink-haired female was in sight. Claris.

"Claris!" (Y/N) called out. Claris turned around and saw (Y/N).

"(Y/N)! You're alright!" Claris said.

Then, Nightmarens arrived and took each of their Ideya and carried them to the Ideya Captures.

"Well, we know what to do here," Claris said.

"Yeah. Let's go!" (Y/N) said.

The two visitors ran to look for an Ideya Palace somewhere. Then, in a short bit, NiGHTS was seen in an Ideya Palace.

"NiGHTS!" Claris shouted.

"Say less! Now, let's go!" NiGHTS said. They then took the visitors by the hand and dualized with them, breaking out of the Ideya Palace.

They began to fly around the garden. Although difficult to navigate, the bouncy walls were used as trampolines to help NiGHTS reach places they couldn't on their own. This would also help in reaching hard-to-reach Ideya Captures as well.

After placing the very last Ideya inside the Ideya Palace, NiGHTS was once again moved to another location, which is a room with dices, a star-patterned ball, and surpsingly, a guillotine. That was enough to creep (Y/N) and Claris out. Then, one of the second-level Nightmarens sent by Wizeman appeared.

It was a jester with a toothy grin and blue eyes. His appearance is the same as NiGHTS', but his size is as twice as theirs. His color scheme was a mixture of white, red, yellow, orange, and light blue. The hat was curling forward and inward rather than back and outward, and he wore a large cape.

"Well, I wasn't expecting to see YOU out of all people, Jackle," NiGHTS said.

Jackle snickered at NiGHTS' comment. He then began to shuffle a stack of cards and threw one of them at NiGHTS. NiGHTS dodged it and went under Jackle and attacked, making the cape fly off.

"Now's my chance!" NiGHTS said. Before Jackle was about to reach his cape, NiGHTS then attacked him, making him bounce off. NiGHTS was about to attack him again, but Jackle created a beeline surrounding NiGHTS.

"Of course he had tricks up his sleeve," NiGHTS said. They tried to attack while trying to stay between the beelines, which was successful. After so many attempts, Jackle was finally defeated.

After the battle, (Y/N) drifted away from NiGHTS and Claris. "To be honest, I gotta wonder... How many Nightmarens does Wizeman have left?" She said to herself.
