Chapter 60

As soon as (Y/N) opened her eyes, another location was in sight. It was a vast forest blanketed with the fog. There were also strange road signs placed in the forest as well as some ancient ruins and caves.

"First the hills, then a water park, now a forest filled with signs and ruins... This world is weird..." (Y/N) mumbled to herself.

"(Y/N)!" A voice called to her. She turned around and saw Claris running to her.

"Claris! Are you okay?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay," Claris said. "As soon as we took down Gillwing, you and NiGHTS drifted away."

(Y/N) looked down in guilt. "I wish I knew how it would happen. Sorry..." she said.

Suddenly, two Nightmarens came out of nowhere and took each of their Ideya of Possibility.

"Our Ideya!" Claris said.

"Let's hurry and find NiGHTS!" (Y/N) said.

They ran towards the Ideya Palace that was in sight, and as expected, NiGHTS was trapped inside it.

"NiGHTS!" They said.

"Finally! You're here!" NiGHTS said before grabbing the two's hands. "Now, let's go!" They then fused into NiGHTS, breaking them free of the Ideya Palace, and NiGHTS began to fly around for the Ideya.

Destroying the Ideya Captures and getting the Ideya in the vast forest wasn't easy for them. It's is like a maze where they would easily get lost if they are not careful. It is also filled with so many dangers that not even the two visitors couldn't comprehend.

Once NiGHTS reached the inside of a cave, a tremor was felt inside of it.

"What was that?" Claris asked.

"Is there a stronger Nightmaren here?" (Y/N) said.

NiGHTS felt another tremor and knew something was up. "Uh oh. The cave looks like it's collapsing! I better hurry!" They said. They began to fly around the cave, trying to dodge all the rocks falling from above. Then, an Ideya Capture was in sight.

"Clever Nightmarens. Trying to set up a trap and all," NiGHTS commented. "But that won't be enough to take me out!"

They sped towards the Ideya Capture and broke through it, grabbing the Ideya that was inside it. They then took a route to an Ideya Palace and placed it inside. As they continued to fly around, they spotted a broken car.

"What's a car doing here?" (Y/N) asked.

"I don't know. This is weird..." Claris said.

"Heh. This is the dream world. Literally ANYTHING can pop up when you least expect it," NiGHTS said.

They then flew up to the car and carried it with them while loo, much to the visitors' confusion.

"NiGHTS? Isn't that car too heavy for you?" Claris asked.

"Nope. Nothing that I can't handle," NiGHTS answered. After getting an Ideya from an Ideya Capture, they then spotted a garage and placed the car in it.

"Now, for the Ideya," they said. They took a route to the Ideya Palace and placed the Ideya in it.

As expected, NiGHTS was transported to another area, signaling that Wizeman sent out one of his best Nightmarens. This time, it was in an undersea location filled with fish. Then, a 2nd-level Nightmaren appeared. It was a giant blue piranha with three yellow and orange spikes. Some spikes were near its face, five were on its back, and four were on its fins. The belly was white, and the tail was a mixture of blue and purple.

"Well, if it isn't Gulpo," NiGHTS said.

"Another strong Nightmaren?" (Y/N) said.

"That's right, but unlike Gillwing, he doesn't have anger issues," NiGHTS said. "Something tells me he's a tough Nightmaren. I can't afford to let my guard down!"

Gulpo began shooting out dark energy orbs while swimming slowly. While NiGHTS was dodging every single orb, they noticed the red fish in the distance. They flew at one of them pointing at Gulpo and used them as a bounce platform to speed up at Gulpo, damaging him.

Suddenly, Gulpo shot an orb at one of the fish, cloaking them in dark energy. Then, small electric waves began to coarse through his body.

"Drat! He's a lot tougher than I gave him credit for," NiGHTS said.

"What now?" Claris asked.

"At least he didn't get all of them!" NiGHTS said as they moved to one of the unaffected red fish and used it to launch themselves at Gulpo, dealing damage again. Gulpo and NiGHTS repeated their respective strategies, but NiGHTS got ahead, and Gulpo was defeated. Then, (Y/N) once again drifted away from Claris and NiGHTS.

"Judging by how this is happening... I think I know how this is going..." she said.
