3rd Person POV
At a beach somewhere, everyone slowly started to get up from the fall.

"Is everyone alive?" Mario asked.

"Yeah, kinda. And we– Wait. Where's Luigi?" Ash said. Mario then noticed a bunch of small crabs trying to pull Luigi out of the sand.

"Shoo! Shoo! Go away!" He said as the crabs moved away.

"Moreover, where are we anyway?" (Y/N) asked. Eve then took a recording tape, played it, and saw a wording that said, "Oho Oasis."

"I think we're in... 'Oho Oasis,'" she said.

"Got it. Now, we just have to find our way back," Mario said. As they traveled across the island, they encountered Oho Jees, who, mentioned in the recording, speaks in an odd manner. He then mentioned the Palaces of Fire and Thunder. Showing their interest to investigate, the group then decided to split up into two groups: (Y/N) and Eve with Mario and Ash, Pikachu, and Goh with Luigi.

*to Mario's group*

Mario, (Y/N), and Eve came across the center of the Fire Temple, which harbored a stone tablet. A picture of a hammer was seen on it.

"Mario?" (Y/N) said. Mario nodded and slammed on the tablet with his hammer, breaking it. Then, a light flew up to the ceiling. Then, a figure with a red mask appeared.

"Welcome! Yes, welcome! Welcome to the Fire Palace! I have been waiting for you. I have waited many long years, smoldering like embers," the figure said.

"Who? Us?" Mario asked.

"Yes, for you I have kept waiting, and waiting, and WAITING! In fact, the last time anyone came through here was… 3000 years ago!" The masked figure said.

"What?! That long?!" (Y/N) asked.

"Oh, waiting just burns me UP! But enough about that… so, why have you come?" The masked figure asked.

"Yes, uh... We were hoping you could help us find a way out of this island," Eve said.

"Huh? You, uh… this place…" the masked figure said. He then looked around his surroundings.

"Um…this place of power… it is, uh… this place is… now, wait a second… just what kind of place was this, anyway? What was it that I was planning on doing? Am I allowed in here? Huh? Wait, just a minute… Where am I? WHO am I?!" Everyone else sweatdropped at the moment.

"Hm! I guess having no guests for 3000 years takes a toll. Everything just seems to… slip one's mind!" The masked figure joked. "How humorous! So I guess you can do what you want! I won't stop you!" He then disappeared in a burst of flame. All that was left was a giant glass orb with .

"Sooo... Now what? That guy just disappeared and left this glass ball with a flame inside," (Y/N) said.

"I don't know, Mama," Eve said.

"Hmm... Well, it wouldn't hurt to take it along with us. I mean, he said he doesn't mind," Mario said as he got closer to the orb. He then reached his hand out to it and touched the glass. He then felt a burning sensation as soon as he touched the orb.

"AAHHH! HOT HOT HOT!" He shouted as he quickly swiped his hand off the glass and shook it. Then, his hand was on fire. Literally.

"What the what? Eve! Are you seeing this?!" (Y/N) commented.

"It's like he has fire power now," Eve said.

Mario was left in a state of surprise and confusion, wondering how his hand was caught on fire. Then, a burst of flame appeared, and the masked figure returned.
