Chapter 29

3rd Person POV
After they all made it back to Hoohoo Village, the villagers began to gather around them, offering them to celebrate their achievement  of finding Blablanadon and saving Prince Peasley.

However, they politely refused their offer, saying that they are still on a mission to retrieve Princess Peach's voice. They then walked to the  workshop to see if they could make their hammers.

As they went inside, they saw the Hammerhead Bros., very ecstatic to hear that Blablanadon and Prince Peasley had returned. There was also a piece of metal on the work table. The Hammerhead Bros. then noticed Mario and Co.

"Hmph! Boy, did Y'ALL arrive at
exactly the right time! Just now, a Hoohoo Block fell down the
waterfall!" Sledge said.

"Check it out: We'll use it to make you the ultimate Hammer!" The green Hammerhead Bro said. The two Hammerhead Bros. then began to use their heads to craft the hammers, which ended in success.

"Hoo! Hoo! Hooo... Man, it feels so
GREAT to be makin' Hammers again
after such a long break!" Sledge commented.

"In fact, it feels so darn great that we
went ahead and made you guys TWO HAMMERS!" The green Hammer Bro added.

"Look at that craftsmanship! POW!
Now you're playin' with power!"
Sledge said.

"Yeah! You got that right! These bad
boys are now all yours!" The green
Hammer Bros said. Mario and Luigi then picked up the two hammers from the table.

"This will help a lot. Thank you very much!" Mario said.

"Yeah! Thank you!" Luigi said.

"Normally, I would tell ya how to use a hammer, but considerin' the fact y'all are pros, I don't need to tell ya," Sledge said.

"Just a heads up, though: these aren't your average everyday hammers," he added. He then looked at his brother, and they nodded at each other.

"Well, if you ever need help, you know where we are," the green Hammer Bro said. The Mario Bros both nodded and headed out with their hammers.

"Alright! We got our hammers!" Mario said.

"Good! Now, on our way to Beanbean Castle!" (Y/N) said as they all began their journey to the castle.

*timeskip*

They stopped at the same rock that blocked their path earlier. Mario and Luigi went up to the rock and whacked it with their hammers, destroying it completely. The others cheered.

Everyone then went inside and cave. As they went inside, they saw some mine carts and an elderly Beanish wearing a black hat on his rocking chair with a dog right next to him.

"Whoa there, pards! It's been a
Goomba's age since we had any
strangers in these parts!" The old Beanish said.

"Goomba's age?" (Y/N) muttered to herself.

"Now listen, fellers: if you want to
ride in them rusty old carts, I won't
go a-stoppin' you. But I'd advise
watchin' out for trouble. Yep. No one
knows where them rails lead... Still, I'll tell you somethin': you might just be able to find jewels by jumpin' a bit in there. And while you're hoppin' for loot, watch out! If you spot danger, just shine your light at it!... Oh, mercy! There I go again! I'm always borin' folks to tears with stuff like this... So, erm..Tell me, kids.. Care to ride in the carts?" The old man said.

Luigi felt a bit concerned about the whole thing of riding a mine cart in a dark cave, but Mario was determined to give it a try.

"Okay! We'll ride them," he said.

"Um... I'll go, too," Luigi said.

"We're riding, too," (Y/N) said.

"A'ight. Just hop right in and be careful!" The old man advised. Everyone each got on a mine cart with Pikachu riding with Ash and Eve riding with (Y/N). Mario, Ash, and (Y/N) have flashlights with them. Then, the mine carts began to move.

As the mine carts moved, the people with flashlights started to aim the light at the dark spots to make sure they all dodged and collected what's in front of them. Then, they successfully made it to the other side. Everyone got out of the mine carts and noticed the same old man and dog they saw earlier.

"How did he get here?!" Goh asked.

"Good luck, fellers. Come back if you
need beans," the elderly Beanish said.

"Beans?" Ash asked.

"I think he means our currency for the Beanbean Kingdom," Mario said.

"Yeah, but all we have is coins," (y/N) said. "Anyway, let's get going."

Everyone then walked out of the cave and crossed a bridge until a familiar voice stopped them.

"Wait up!" It said. They turned around and saw the Hammerhead Bros. running up to them.

"Boy, we forgot to mention one thing!" Sledge said.

"We never taught you how to use the
Hammers in battle! Ready to learn?"
The green Hammer Bro asked.

"You don't need to teach them. After all, they're pros," (Y/N) said.

"Yep! We're good!" Mario said.

"You sure? We'll teach you if you need it, which we think you may," Sledge said.

"Ok, we won't argue with you. We
know you have a journey to do. After all, you are the Mario Bros. with some tough friends, and that's what you guys are known for," he said.

"You better look alive with those
things. There are a lot of monsters that your famous jump won't do diddly to. You gotta learn some new tricks if you wanna get by 'em! I'm sure you guys'll be able to take care of business! If you can't, you're gonna have to give us those Hammers back!" The green Hammerhead Bro said.

"Don't-a worry! We know how to handle them!" Luigi said. The green Hammerhead Bro nodded in understanding.

"Hey! We're goin' back so we can ride the cart again!" He said.

"Yeah! Cart rides are thrillin' and
filled with suspenders!" The green
Hammerhead Bro said.

"You nitwit! It's "filled with suspense! SUSPENSE!!" Sledge angrily said to his brother as they both headed back to the cave.

"Brothers will be brothers, I guess," (Y/N) laughed.

"No kidding. Anyway, let's head to the castle," Ash said.

*timeskip*

As the group traveled along Beanbean Outskirts to Beanbean Castle, they noticed a Goomba with a red flag on its head.

"There he is! Fawful give us back our
Bowser!" The Goomba said as he ran.

"What was that about?" Eve asked.

"Normally, I would go after him and ask where he's going, but we got work to do," Goh said.

"Good call, Goh," Luigi said. Suddenly, they felt a tremor on the ground.

"What was that?!" (Y/N) asked.

"I don't know, but something tells me something bad just happened! Let's-a go!" Mario said as he and the others rushed to the Beanbean Kingdom.

Once they reached the town, they saw the whole place in shambles as if it were attacked.

"Oh, my gosh," (Y/N) said in shock.

"The town's in ruins," Ash said.

"Who would do something like this?" Luigi asked.

"I think we already know who. Fawful and Cackletta," Mario said.

"Those two... I can't stand them!!" Eve said angrily.

"Let's hurry to the castle! We might find them there!" (Y/N) said as she and the others rushed to the castle.
