Dimension Crisis (?!) (Video Game Crossover × Fem!Magical Girl!Reader)

Chapter 56

After a while of chasing Eggman through the clouds, Sonic and (Y/N) landed in Mystic Ruins.

"Seriously, that Eggman..." (Y/N) said, frustrated.

"Where is this...?" Sonic asked.

Then, a tremor can be felt. It was coming from a large temple in the distance. Then, as soon as the tremor stopped, the familiar red light that they encountered back in Station Square appeared. It then started to go inside the temple.

"It's that light from before," (Y/N) said.

"I think it's trying to show us something. Let's follow it!" Sonic said. The two then went inside the temple to follow the light.

Navigating through the temple wasn't easy for the duo because as ancient as the temple may seem, it's also filled with dangerous traps such as flames, spikes, and even a giant stone. There were also puzzles for them to solve if they were to continue onward.

Then, at the end of the temple, they saw the small light presenting them a strange mural depicting some kind of event that occurred in the past.

"Whoa. What's this?" Sonic asked.

"It looks like some kind of mural," (Y/N) said. "It might be presenting some kind of event that happened a long time ago. A disaster...?"

Suddenly, a bright light hit both their heads.

*Flashback*

(Y/N) and Sonic woke up in some kind of different location in another time. It was nighttime, and some kind of ancient sanctum was in flames.

"Where...? Where are we?" (Y/N) said.

"This is weird..." Sonic said.

The two went forward to investigate the scene. As the two got close, they saw that many small blue creatures called Chao's rendered unconscious. There stood an orange female echidna looking on with sadness.

"Why...?" She said. "Why did this have to happen? It's terrible. I must stop this now!"

She then went up to the Master Emerald to try something. Suddenly, everything went white to (Y/N) and Sonic.

*Flashback end*

The two then found themselves outside of the temple after witnessing the strange vision.

"Ugh... My head..." (Y/N) said.

"What was that all about?" Sonic said. "I don't think I'm dreaming here."

"It kinda looked like some kind of past event or something... Did we travel throguh time...?" (Y/N) said.

Then, a familiar man on a hovercraft could be seen in the distance.

"Wait a second. That's..." (Y/N) said.

"Eggman!" Sonic said.

Eggman, not noticing the duo, then went somewhere beside the temple.

"What's he doing here?" (Y/N) asked.

"Well, whatever it is, this time, we'll get him for good!" Sonic said. He and (Y/N) then rushed to where Eggman went. There, they saw a mechanized base.

"Why would Eggman build a whole base next to the temple?" (Y/N) asked.

"Beats me," Sonic said. The two then went inside the base. It was clear as crystal that Eggman wasn't very find of intruders, especially Sonic and (Y/N). The traps, puzzles, and everything else were enough to prove it.

Once they reached a certain area, they saw a huge mech that looked some kind of giant snake. Inside it was none other than Eggman himself.

"Well, if it isn't my old friend Sonic along with his silly little friend! I'm surprised you made it this far," he said. He then went back inside the mech, and the mech began to move upwards, making the base rumble a bit.

"Hold it right there, Eggman!" Sonic said.

"Let's catch him!" (Y/N) said.

The two went to a nearby rocket. They held on to it, and the rocket then shot upwards, taking them to where Eggman was.

The mech, aka the Egg Viper, began to shoot scorching lasers at the two. Each one was dodged or blocked by Iron Blossom. The hatch opened up, and Sonic saw this as his chance to attack.

"Why you little...!" Eggman growled as the hatch closed up again.

The Egg Viper then shot a stronger laser that created an explosion. As soon as the Egg Viper raised its tail, (Y/N) ran on the tail towards the hatch Eggman was in and hit it with her staff.

The Egg Viper went to one side of the platform. It then rose up and began to fire a barrage of lasers while moving towards Sonic and (Y/N), causing (Y/N) to cast Iron Blossom as an emergency. Then, the giant robot then sent out one of the spiked wheels at them. However, they both jumped on top of it.

"Shall we?" (Y/N) asked.

"Gladly!" Sonic said.

The two then gave the Egg Viper hatch one last hit, causing it to go haywire.

"We did it!" Sonic said.

(Y/N) then noticed something off about the robot. "Wait a sec... Sonic! Look out! He's trying to take us out!" She said.

The Egg Viper was about to crash into (Y/N) and Sonic, but the two moved out of the way. It then fell to the bottom and exploded. Suddenly, the whole base began to rumble violently.

"Let's get outta here!" Sonic said. He and (Y/N) then began to rush out of the base.

*timeskip*

As soon as the two got out of the base before it caved in on them, they saw Eggman.

"I'll get you back for this, Sonic! Mark my words!" He said as he hovered away.

"Why you...!" (Y/N) said. Suddenly, she was stopped by Sonic.

"Appreciate the help, but not this time," Sonic said. "You deserve a break."

"Okay, Sonic. I get it," (Y/N) said as she nodded. Sonic then began to rush at Eggman.

"(Y/N)!" A voice called out. (Y/N) called out and saw Eve and others.

"Guys!" She said.

"You're okay!" Amitie said happily.

"What the heck happened?" Goh asked.

"I just thought I needed to help Sonic with some unfinished business," (Y/N) said. "Anyway, enough about me. What happened with you guys?"

Everyone then began to make their talk about their personal experiences.
