Chapter 25

Meanwhile, two toads are on the lookout. Then, one of them noticed something.

"General Starshade! A massive explosion has been sighted," the Toad with binoculars said.

"Confirmation! I need confirmation!" The Toad known as General Starshade said. The Toad with binoculars then turned his attention towards the sky and saw (Y/N) and others falling.

"General Starshade! Seven meteorites confirmed!" He said. Then, everyone crash landed.

'Impact in Stardust Fields! Initiate
recon! Emergency! Emergency!" The Toad said.

Meanwhile, at the crash site, Beanbean Borderland, (Y/N) slowly got up, groaning. Eve then flew up to her with a worried look.

"Are you okay, Mama?" Eve said.

"Y-Yeah. I'm fine," (Y/N) said. She then looked at the others who were trying to recover from the crash.

"Ash. Pikachu. Goh. Mario. Luigi," she said, but then noticed Luigi wasn't here.

"Luigi? Where's Luigi?" She asked, which shocked Mario with worry. Mario then looked around to find his little brother.

"Luigi?! Where are you?!" He asked while looking around. Luckily, he found him, his head buried in the ground. Mario ran up to him and started pulling him up. Everyone else rushed in to help him and successfully pulled Luigi out of the ground.

"You okay, Luigi?" Ash asked the plumber in green.

"I'm okay!" Luigi said. He then started to look around.

"More over, where are we?" He asked.

"I don't know. Do you think we're close to the Beanbean Kingdom yet?" Eve asked.

I hope so. Let's move," (Y/N) said.

"Wait! Hold on. I wanna see how the others are holding up," Goh said as he moved up to the Koopa Troopas seen lying on the ground.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked.

"The K-Koopa Cruiser... We haven't
finished... paying it off..." the Koopa Troopa laying on his stomach groaned.

"F-fnd Lord Bowser... Oh... Gack... Help us..." Another Koopa Troopa in the same position said.

"What? Bowser's gone missing?" Goh said.

"L-Lord Bowser fell... Urgh.... on the other side... Ack!... of the border..." Another Koopa Troopa said. Goh then nodded and went back to the others.

"Bowser suddenly went missing after the crash," he said.

"What?! Then, where did he go?" Mario asked.

"If I remember correctly, the Koopas said that he might be on the other side of the border. Which means he must have fallen in the Beanbean Kingdom," Goh said.

"Well, we got our answer. Now, let's go!" (Y/N) said as she and everyone started moving. As they were walking, they found a bridge leading to a small brown palace that would allow them to cross the border. They went inside and saw two green Hammer Bros. with green skin instead of the usual yellow holding a long rope on each end.

"Well, well! Talk about a nice surprise! Check it out, Bro! It looks like the famous Mario Bros. have arrived!" Hammer Bro 1 said.

"Man! That really brings back the memories, doesn't it? Good times. Good times." Hammer Bro 2 said.

"Are they in charge of guarding the border?" (Y/N) whispered to Mario.

"They could-a be," Mario whispered back. The Hammer Bros. then looked at the others.

"So... are these people friends of yours?" Hammer Bro 2 asked. Mario and Luigi nodded.

"Really? That's pretty cool! "So what's up, brothers M? Are you guys heading off on a journey together?" Hammer Bro 1 asked.

"That's-a right!" Mario said.

"Oh... So you probably want us to let you pass, huh? Yeah, well, I'm sure you guys know this is the border of the Mushroom Kingdom." Hammer Bro 1 said.

"I knew it. There's always a catch," Goh said.

"That's right, it's the border, and since we're the border security, we can't let you in... until you do some jumping worthy of the Mario name!" Hammer Bro 2 said.

"Want to do the border jump?" Hammer Bro 1 asked. Mario and Luigi nodded in acceptance as they made their way to the middle of the rope.

"Man! Very cool! That was some incredible jumping!" Hammer Bro 2 exclaimed.

Mario and Luigi look at the portrait and see fireworks come out of it. The flag beside the portrait is all the way up.

"Okay. Now it's you guys' turn," Hammer Bro 1 said.

"Already? Well, I guess it can't be helped. Wanna give it a try, Eve?" (Y/N) asked Eve.

"Sure!" Eve said as she transformed to her human form. The two girls then got to the middle of the rope. They then started to jump  as the rope began to cross them.

(Lazy timeskip)

"Woah! Nice jumping! You might just be living up to the Mario name, too!" Hammer Bro 1 said as the flag next to portrait is lifted all the way up.

"Cool! Let's try it, Goh!" Ash said, pulling Goh by the arm, walking to the middle of the rope.

"H-Hey! Wait!" Goh exclaimed, but  Ash didn't listen. He was about to protest more, but he gave up and decided to play along anyway. During the jump, Ash was getting the hang of it while Goh was struggling a bit, but was getting the hang of it also.

"Not bad, you too!" Hammer Bro 2 said as the flag beside the portrait was raised up.

"Just beyond here is Beanbean Kingdom. You be extra careful when traveling there, " Hammer Bro 2 said as everyone left the border. They all made their way out, but before they were able to cross the fields, a familiar voice called out to them.

"Hold up, Bros," the voice said. The looked behind them and saw one of Hammer Bros.

"Since we've been on duty, you two are the first people ever to cross our border. I mean, ever!" Hammer Bro 1 said.

"I'll admit. You're pretty creative with the security since it's your first time seeing trespassers," Ash said.

'They're really good at their job. Well... maybe too good at their job,' Luigi thought.

"We've gotta commemorate this occasion by giving you this!" The Hammer Bro said as he handed them a map of the Beanbean Kingdom.

"Happy traveling!" The Hammer Bro said before he left.

"This might just come in handy! Let's go!" (Y/N) said.
