Chapter 24

A couple of hours had passed since the departure for the Beanbean Kingdom. They seemed to be nearing their destination. (Y/N), Eve, Ash, Pikachu, and Goh, along with Mario and Luigi, are currently sitting in the belly of the ship.

"Are we there yet?" Eve said.

"Almost, maybe. I mean, it's starting to get dark out," Goh said.

"Sorry you got dragged into this, Luigi," Ash said.

"That's okay. I mean, it's only natural I have to support my bro," Luigi said. Then, a voice can be heard from the intercoms. It was Bowser's.

"Hey! You! Down there in the ship's belly! Mario and... what's-yer-name? Mr. Green Mario Bros Guy! And the rest of you! Look alive down there! We're about to arrive in the Beanbean Kingdom! Get ready to roll and come on deck!" He said.

"Well, you heard the big guy. Let's move," (Y/N) said. Everyone got up and headed for the deck where Bowser is. As they made their way, they saw a bunch of Koopa Troopas getting their passports taken. The camera Koopa Troopa then noticed them walking in.

"Say. You have your passports with you?" He asked.

"Yeah, we do," (Y/N) said.

"Okay. Do you have your pictures taken yet?" He asked again, making everyone flinch.

"No, not really," (Y/N) said.

"Oh, yeah. It's urgent for you to have your picture taken. Otherwise, you can't enter the Beanbean Kingdom," the camera Koopa Troopa said.

"Whaaaat?" They all said in unison.

"Well, he said what he said. So, let's just get our pictures taken first," Goh said.

Everyone successfully had their pictures taken for their passports.

"Now that's taken care of, let's keep going," Ash said. Everyone continued to walk to the deck. They then encountered a familiar Koopa Troopa they encountered in Toad Plaza. He seemed to be struggling with putting the Goombas back in the crates.

"Wait a sec. Isn't that...?" Eve said.

"Hey! Let us-a help!" Mario said.

"Hey. Thanks for helping me back in the Mushroom Kingdom. I was in a huge rush, but thanks to you guys, I made it to the Koopa Cruiser first. Here! Let me repay you with this," the Koopa Troopa said as he gave Mario a 1-UP mushroom. "It's nice to be nice sometimes," he said.

Everyone then kept moving to the deck. They came across a huge crate block their path.

"Great. What now?" Goh said. Then, they all noticed an odd block floating in the air.

"What's this block doing up there?" (Y/N) asked.

"Let me try!" Mario said before jumping to hit the block. Then suddenly, a large crane appeared and picked up Luigi.

"Luigi!" Eve shouted with worry. Then, a Koopa Troopa came up to everyone.

"Oops! Looks like that crane mistook you for cargo," he said. Then, an idea came to mind.

"Hey, since you guys are here and all, why don't you be on the lookout," he said.

Everyone finally made it to the deck with Bowser planning on what to do when they reach the Beanbean Kingdom. The crane from earlier is still holding Luigi by his overall jeans. Luigi was wearing binoculars.

"You okay, Luigi?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah. I'm okay," Luigi said.

"Your Rancidness!" A Koopa Troopa's voice called out to Bowser. "We will be passing over the border between the Mushroom Kingdom and the Beanbean Kingdom soon."

"Good work! You can go back below the deck now," Bowser said. Suddenly, a tremor can be felt throughout the ship as if it was hit by something, making Luigi flal off the crane and onto the deck.

"What the heck was that?!" (Y/N) asked. She then heard a laugh from somewhere. She then turned around  and saw a suspicious green-skinned lady riding on a smaller ship.

"Who would have thought you would catch up to the great Cackletta, even in a million years?" The lady named Cackletta said.

"I think I get it now. You're the culprit who stole Princess Peach's voice! Give it back right now!" Eve said.

"Never in a million years! I'm going straight back to the Beanbean Kingdom, so my next plan can take root!" Cackletta said before turning to her smaller assistant.

"Fawful! Dispose of these fools!" She said before departing.

"Hey! Get back here, you witch!" (Y/N) shouted. Fawful then landed near the Koopa Cruiser.

"I am the Great Cackletta's most beat pupil, who is named Fawful! I am here, laughing at you! If you are giving us the chase just to get your silly Princess' voice, then you are idiots of foolishness! Princess Peach's sweet voice will soon be the bread that makes the sandwich of Cackletta's desires! And this battle shall be the delicious mustard on that bread! The mustard of your doom!" He said. He then fired an energy ball from his gadget at Bowser.

"Bowser!" Everyone shouted as they ran up to Bowser, who was knocked out. They then turned around and saw that Fawful was nowhere in sight. Then, a devious laugh can be heard from behind, which is Fawful's. They then turned around and saw him.

"Next is the turn of you!" He said as he fired two more energy balls at Mario and Luigi, in which they miraculously dodged with their jumps.

"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt on that thing he's using!" Ash said. Pikachu nodded and shot a ray of electricity at Fawful's gadget. Although it didn't break his helmet, it did deal damage to Fawful.

"Not even my trusty headgear is affected by mere electricity!" Fawful laughed.

"Yeah? Then, how will it fare against this?!" (Y/N) shouted as she charged at Fawful with her staff in hand while dodging the energy balls. She then leaped up.

"Marble Burst!" She shouted as she fired rainbow-colored orbs at Fawful, destroying his helmet at the process. Somehow, Fawful was able to leap down safely.

"Next is when I ram you!" He said as he charged at Mario and Luigi like a bowling ball. Luckily, Mario was able to jump on him to counter it. Fawful then rolled towards Luigi, but Luigi did the same as well, spelling his defeat.

"How... How could fink-rats like you defeat an awful nasty like me?" Fawful groaned.

"Headgear!" He said as his helmet returned.

"What the–?! Does this guy have extra headgear or what?!" Goh said. Fawful then moved to the air with a laugh.

"Bah! Now is when the talking stops! I do not have time to stop and smell foul roses such as you! One fell swoop is the way I will deal with you fink-rats!" He said before firing many green energy balls from his headgear at the Cruiser.

"Everyone! Hang on!" Eve shouted. The Koopa Cruiser then started to fall down, about to crash. Cackletta laughed on as she watched.
