Chapter 23

3rd Person POV
(Y/N) slowly opened her eyes and looked around. Not only did she notice Eve and the others, but also their location: a strange kingdom based on mushrooms.

"A kingdom? That's new," (Y/N) said.

"Not only that. Look. Mushrooms," Eve said, pointing at the mushrooms that caught her eye.

"Sooo, it's like a kingdom of mushrooms. I get it," Ash said. Suddenly, an explosion can be heard from somewhere. This time, it's from a castle in the distance.

"Oh, jeez. What is it this time? (Y/N) said. They then notice another explosion coming from inside the castle. The group immediately rushed in to find out.

*timeskip*

As everyone was running through the castle halls, (Y/N) noticed two look-alike brothers, one in red running, and the other in green being hopelessly dragged by a rope, run side by side with them.

'Are they trying to investigate, too? And... Aria said, 'two identical mustached brothers. Could they be...' She thought. She then brushed away the thought and focused on finding the source of the explosion.

When she and her group made it to the throne room, they noticed a woman in a pink dress crying, and in front of her, a large turtle-like being with a spiky shell, not noticing anybody behind him and only focused on the princess..

Before (Y/N) was about to speak, the brothers barged in as well. The red brother stopped, but the roped green brother was dragged through the floor after his brother stopped, knocking to the large turtle, grabbing his attention. The green brother looked in fear.

"Trying to do a sneak attack?! Talk about playing dirty! Now, c'mere, Super Cowardly Bros.!" The large turtle roared angrily. The red brother was ready to fight while the green brother began to tremble in fear. (Y/N) and the others looked on, confused. She then turned to the brother in green.

"Uh... What grudge does this guy have with you two?" (Y/N) asked.

"I wish I knew what, but let's-a say Bowser's never happy with us around!" The green brother said.

(Im too lazy to describe how the fight went, so here's a video lol)

The big turtle known as Bowser was knocked out for a bit and then got up. He then came to a realization.

"Wait a minute! This isn't the time to be fighting! Even though I would've won..." he said.

"Everyone! Please, listen to me! Something terrible has happened!" One of the mushroom-headed people known as a Toad said.

"'Terrible?' Terrible like what?" Eve asked.

"The Goodwill Ambassador from the neighboring kingdom, the Beanbean Kingdom, came to this kingdom for a visit," the Toad explained.

"Yeah, but it wasn't a friendly visit like we thought. Instead, the ambassador stole Princess Peach's voice!" The other Toad added. Then, strange words came out of Princess Peach's mouth, creating explosions and startling everyone.

"And they replaced her voice with some explosive vocabulary," the first Toad said. Then, more explosive words appear, causing everyone to scatter.

"Drat! If I end up kidnapping Peach like this, my castle will fall apart! Mario! Do something super!" Bowser said.

"Super? Like what?" Ash asked as he and Pikachu tilted their heads a bit.

"Mario! You must go and get the princess's beautiful voice back! You're the only one who can do so!" The first Toad pleaded.
