Rajveer's POV
It's been four days since the dates for the engagement and wedding were fixed, and I'm beyond happy to have Tara by my side. The wedding is still four months away, but I can already feel the nervousness and the wedding jitters setting in.
It's not that I don't want to get married—I'm eager to marry Tara—but a part of me wonders: Will I be a good husband? Will I be able to keep her happy?
Today, I was supposed to meet her alone, but as expected, my overly enthusiastic siblings and her overprotective ones are tagging along for the ring selection.
I've been caught up with work these past three days, but I made sure to talk to her at least twice a day. I cherish our little moments—the way she laughs when I say something funny or the way she scolds me for skipping breakfast because I was late for a meeting.
She's become such an important part of my life, so quickly, that I can't even describe what I feel when I'm with her. It's just... calm and peaceful, even when she's not speaking.
Anyway, moving to the present, I'm getting ready to meet her. I'm in my casuals when I head downstairs to find Lakshay waiting for me.
"Where's Adi? Not coming?" I ask, looking around.
"Ah, Bhai Sa, you think she'll miss this chance to hang out with her Dear Bhabhi Sa?" Lakshay says, clearly irritated.
"What happened?" I ask, trying to figure out his mood.
"Nothing. She always makes everyone her favorite, but me being the middle child, I'm left out of everything. Now even Bhabhi Sa will be on her side," he pouts.
"Aree, Bacche... that's not true. We all love you both equally. She's the youngest, so everyone looks out for her. You have your place in everyone's heart, and that'll never change," I assure him.
He nods but still looks unconvinced.
"And Tara herself is a middle child, so she'll definitely bond more with you," I add, smiling.
"Oh yes, how could I forget that? Bhabhi Sa and I will be a great team!" he says, smirking at me.
"Oye, she's my wife first," I say with a playful but firm tone.
"We'll see about that later," he teases, heading outside to the car.
"Adii... aur kitna time?" I call as I approach her room. (Adi... how much more time?)
"Bhai Sa, just a minute, I'm applying lipstick," she replies.
"Waah, you're looking pretty today! What's the occasion?" I ask.
"Wohh, going to meet Bhabhi Sa na," she says, smiling brightly.
"Chalo, let's get going. We're already late," I say, gently dragging her out.
"Oye Bandar, aaj toh pari lag rahi hain!" Lakshay said, looking at Aditi. (Oh Monkey, you're looking like a fairy today.)
"Bhai Saa," she whined, giving me a look.
"Okaayy, okay, sorry!" Lakshay said, mock surrendering.
We drove to the mall where we were supposed to meet. As soon as we arrived, I received a call from Tara.
