Nayantara's POV
After shopping for the rings, everyone was busy with their own activities. Veer and I were casually window shopping when, out of the blue, he pulled me into a store and asked me to try on a dress.
The saleswoman handed me the gown and left. I changed into it, but the zipper was quite long, and I couldn't manage to zip it up on my own. I called out to Veer, asking him to get the lady to help, but unfortunately, she wasn't in the store.
Veer offered to help me, and since I couldn't do it by myself, I had no choice but to ask him. As soon as I opened the door to the changing room, he stepped inside, and it felt... different. My stomach fluttered, but in the best way possible. The way his cold fingers brushed against my back made me feel giddy.
I'm not sure what happened, but we both lost control and ended up kissing passionately. I was so shy afterward that I couldn't bring myself to look at him. The kiss had felt so good that I let my guard down and kissed him back with equal intensity. My first kiss with the person I love.. Wait what? Love?.. it's a feeling I can't quite describe.
We quickly left the mall, and I couldn't bring myself to look him in the eyes. I felt incredibly embarrassed about how I had lost control of myself.
We reached home late, and I went straight to my room. I had a message from Veer: "Can I call you?"
I called him immediately.
"Aapko kab se puchna padh gaya hume call karne se pehle?" I teased him playfully. (Since when did you need to ask before calling me?)
"Jab se aap humse itna sharmane lagi hain," he replied with a sigh. (Since you started shying away from me.)
"Wohh, mai... kuch nahi," I stammered, at a loss for words. (Me... Oh, nothing.)
I could hear him laughing on the other side of the phone. "The kiss wasn't that bad, Tara. I don't know why you're so embarrassed," he said, chuckling.
"Veerrr, aap kitne badtameez hogaye hain," I said shyly, flustered by his words. (Veerr, you've become so ill-mannered.)
I could still hear him laughing. "Waise, it wasn't bad?" I asked, sounding amused.
"It was lovely and very yummy, sweetheart," he replied, causing my cheeks to heat up.
I couldn't find the words to respond to his boldness. I just kept blushing.
"Madam Ji, yeh videocall nahi hai, stop blushing," he teased further. (Madam, this isn't a video call, stop blushing.)
"Veerrr... Chhede mat please," I whined, feeling embarrassed. (Veerr... don't tease me, please.)
"Okay, okay, I won't. But only if you promise to keep surprising me with such unexpected kisses," he said, and I could feel the playful smirk in his voice.
"I don't promise anything, we'll see about the kisses," I teased him back.
"Waise... Can I ask you something?" he asked, his tone turning a little more serious.
"Ji," I replied.
"Was the chain really stuck, or did you just want me to come and kiss you?" he asked, laughing loudly as he teased me.
