Author's POV

Meera and Prithviraj Ranawat were blessed with twins, Karan and Kayra. The joy they felt as new parents was beyond measure. To celebrate the arrival of their grandchildren, Mahendra and Padmini Ranawat hosted a grand feast, inviting everyone from the kingdom.

"Meera Ji, Kayra looks just like you—so lively and beautiful," Prithviraj said, gazing lovingly at his daughter.

"But she's just as naughty as you, Prithvi Ji," Meera giggled, her eyes twinkling with affection.

Karan was a calm and quite child, but Kayra had a lively, mischievous spirit. Yet, their little family was perfect in its own way. The entire city celebrated the birth of their prince and princess.

It was a night of grand festivities. Kings and queens from neighboring lands, along with all the people of the kingdom, gathered to celebrate. The palace was filled with laughter and music, and everyone, regardless of their station, was treated equally.

Meera was in her room with the babies and their caretakers when Jaya, one of the caretakers, spoke up.

"Rani Sa, aap taiyaar ho jaye, hum inhe taiyar kar dete hain." (Rani Sa, you get ready, we'll take care of the babies.)

"Theek hai, hum aate hain," Meera said softly, kissing both her children before stepping out. (Okay, I'll be back.)

As Meera went to get ready, the caretakers began preparing the babies. However, by mistake, one of the caretakers, Rajni, picked Karan's clothes for Kayra.

"Offo, maine toh Rajkumar ke kapde laa diye!" she slapped her forehead. (Oh no, I brought the prince's clothes by mistake.)

She hurried to fetch Kayra's clothes, but as she was returning, someone struck her on the head, and she collapsed unconscious. Jaya heard the commotion and went out, she saw Rajni on floor. She rushed to check on Kayra, but found her nowhere.

"Rani Saaaa!" the other caretaker, Jaya, cried out in alarm.

"Kya ho gaya?" Meera rushed out of her room, still putting on her earrings. (What happened?)

"Wohh... wohh Rajni... Rajkumari... chali gayi," Jaya sobbed, terrified. (That... That... Rajni... Princess... Gone.)

"Kya keh rahi ho, Jaya?" Meera asked, panic rising in her voice. (What are you saying, Jaya?)

"Wohh... Rajni wahan behosh hai aur Rajkumari Sa room mein nahi," Jaya cried, wailing in distress. (Rajni is unconscious there, and the princess is not in her room.)

Meera's world shattered. She collapsed to the ground.

"Rani Saaa!" Jaya rushed to her, catching her as her body went limp.

Jaya quickly began calling the servants.

"Raja Sa ko Bulaiye," Jaya instructed one of them. (Call the King.)

As the servant rushed to fetch Prithviraj, as the servant approached Prithviraj, he already knew something was terribly wrong. He rushed toward the palace.

As he ascended the stairs to their room, he saw Meera lying on the floor.

"Meera Ji!" He ran to her side.
