Rajveer's POV

As planned, the girls are leaving for Lakshadweep today. We'll be departing tomorrow morning and should arrive by afternoon. I was sitting in my room when two little monkeys—my siblings—burst in. "Kya hua? Kyu aaye ho?" I asked, pretending to be annoyed. (What happened? Why did you come?)

"Aree Bhai Sa, thoda toh respect de do hamein," Lakshay whined. (Aree Bhai Sa, give us some respect.)

"We just came to see what you're doing, Bhai Sa," Aditi said, ignoring Lakshay.

"Oh, really? I thought you came here to find out about my plan," I said, questioning their motives.

"Why would we come to you for the plan? We already know," Aditi replied confidently.

"What? How?" I asked, confused.

"Urmm, nothing, Bhai Sa. She just meant that we know you have some plan to convince Bhabhi Sa," Lakshay panicked. But why?

"Sach sach bataiye dono, kya khichdi pakka rahe hain aap dono?" I questioned them, a hidden warning in my tone. (Tell me the truth, what are you both plotting?)

"Ku... kuch na... nahi, Bhai Sa," Aditi hesitated.

"Kuch toh hai. Bataa rahe ho ki dono ka allowance band karwa du?" I said, intimidating them. (Something is fishy; tell me, or should I stop your allowance?)

"Nothing, Bhai Sa! We just came to ask about your plan, but we figured you wouldn't tell us, so we thought we'd pretend to know, hoping you'd spill the beans," Lakshay explained hurriedly.

"Yes, but it backfired badly," Aditi added.

"Aise hi nahi hai hum aapse bade. Sab pata hota hai hamein," I said, smirking at them. (I'm older than you not just by name; I know everything.)

"Haan Bhai Sa, aap to toppe ho, hamari aakhri hope ho," Lakshay said dramatically. (Yes Bhai Sa, you are our last hope.)

"Enough with the drama," I said seriously but ended up chuckling at their antics.

Just then, a servant came in to inform me that Maa Sa was asking for me. I went to her room. "Maa Sa? You called?" I asked.

"Ji Beta, I know you're going on a trip tomorrow. Go and enjoy," Maa Sa said, caressing my hair. She continued, "But when you come back, I will have you meet a few other girls for marriage."

"Uski zaroorat nahi hogi, Maa Sa," I replied softly. (That won't be necessary, Maa Sa.)

"Ji? Kya kaha aapne?" she asked, surprised. (What did you say?)

"Kuch nahi. We'll see that once I return," I said, giving her a big smile.

"There's something cooking in your little mind; I know it, but I don't understand why you won't share," Maa Sa said.

"Nothing like that, Maa Sa. Just teasing you," I replied.

"You can fool everyone, but you can't fool your mother, Raj," she said, sensing my confusion.

"Trust me, Maa Sa, it's nothing. If anything serious comes up, I will come to you," I assured her.

'Phew, Maa Sa se kuch nahi chipta, aaj toh bach gaye hum,' I thought to myself. (Phew, nothing can be hidden from Maa Sa; I had a near escape today.)

Soon the day ended. I was in bed, thinking and planning how I would talk to her and ask what went wrong. Sleep soon engulfed me, and I dreamed of Tara and me talking on the island, and she accepted my proposal. But then the alarm clock disturbed me.

"Stupid clock," I whined.

"Oh crap, it's already 4 a.m.," I panicked and jumped out of bed.

I got ready quickly, as I had to leave by 4:30 a.m. It was nearly 4:45 a.m., and I was receiving numerous calls from my friends. I picked up the last call. "Haan Haan, bas aaya bahar," I said. (Yes, yes, just coming outside.)

Since it was early morning, no one was up yet. I had informed everyone the night before about the trip and our early departure.

As I stepped out of the palace, my friends gave me a 'you're-late' look. "Sorry," I apologized in advance.

"Sorry? Yeh tu rakh apne paas," Rishabh retorted. (Keep your sorry with you.)

"Why are you late, Raj?" Gautam asked.

"I had a nice dream this morning, and I couldn't hear the alarm," I admitted sheepishly.

"Badhiya! Rajkumar yahan sapne dekh rahe hain aur Rajkumari wahan kissi aur ki ho jayegi," Rishabh said dramatically. (Great! The prince is dreaming here while the princess may end up with someone else.)

"Shut up! Let's go, or we'll be late," I said, shooting him an annoyed look.

"Oh, look who's talking about being late," Gautam said as he drove.

We soon reached the airport and checked into the lounge, with an hour left until our flight boarded.

"Want something to drink?" I asked.

"Oh yes, coffee please—less milk, no sugar," Gautam requested.

"Not your servant, jo launga pi lena," I said, ignoring his expression. (Whatever I bring you, you drink.)

As Rishabh chuckled, Gautam threw a neck pillow at him. "Stop laughing, you Asshole!"

"Whatever," Rishabh said, continuing to laugh loudly.

We finished our coffees and headed for the gate. Soon we arrived in Kochi, and our flight to Agatti Island was scheduled for around 10:30 a.m.

We reached Agatti around noon, where a car was waiting to pick us up. We quickly checked into the resort. Gautam was coordinating with Anjali, and we learned they were at a nearby market.

Lunch time arrived, and the buffet was served. Gautam updated us that the girls would be arriving in five minutes.

"I'm a little nervous," I admitted, wiping my sweaty palms.

"Come on, bro, you can do it," Rishabh encouraged.

"Yes, she will be yours," Gautam assured me.

Soon I heard murmurs, and as I turned, I saw her. She looked like an angel in her shorts and top. I couldn't help but stare.

"Rajveer, aap yaha?" she asked, stepping closer. (Rajveer, you here?)

I didn't realize she had come so near. I was speechless, unable to form words as I stared at her. But wait—why did she call me Rajveer? Am I not her Veer?

What do you think will happen? Will Nayantara be happy to have company? Is Nayantara angry with Rajveer? Why didn't she call him Veer? Let's find out in the next chapter.
