Rajveer's POV

I felt truly disheartened upon learning that she had rejected the marriage proposal. Sitting alone on the terrace, I pondered what had gone wrong. It felt like a nightmare—why did I have to meet her if she was just going to leave again in the end?

Lost in my thoughts, I sensed someone approaching. Who else but my siblings?

"Bhai Sa, don't be upset," Lakshay said.

"Why would Bhai Sa be upset? He didn't even want to get married in the first place," Aditi replied.

"No, Adi, it's all gone wrong because of me," I sighed.

"Kya matlab Bhai Sa?" they both asked in unison. (What do you mean, Bhai Sa?)

"At first, I wasn't interested in the marriage topic because I wanted to focus on the business; I thought it would be a distraction," I explained.

They looked at me, eager for more information."But what I didn't realize was that destiny had other plans for me," I continued in a somber tone.

"Bhai Sa, please elaborate properly," Lakshay urged.

"Well, Nayantara is a girl I never expected to meet. If I had known she was the one, I would never have considered getting rid of this alliance," I said, gazing at the sky where only a few stars were visible.

Both of them looked at me in confusion, and I shared everything from the beginning. I could see their expressions change with every sentence; all they had in their eyes was empathy.

"Bhai Sa, I'm sorry," Aditi said softly.

"Kyu Bacche, why are you sorry?" I asked.

"I might be the reason for the rejection," she said nervously.

"What? Tell me everything," Lakshay demanded.

"Bacche, no one is going to scold you. Just tell me everything," I reassured her, patting her head.
She explained how she had told Nayantara about my dilemma and that she was aware I didn't want to get married.

"Yeh kya kar diya aapne, Adi?" Lakshay sighed. (What did you do, Adi?)

"Nahi, isme Adi ki koi galati nahi," I replied. (No, Adi is not at fault here.)

"But Bhai Sa, she told Bhabhi Sa that you like someone. How is she not at fault?" Lakshay questioned, and Aditi looked down, feeling guilty.

"She is more mature than that. If that were the case, she would have confronted me. We didn't have much interaction, but I know she is still the same as she was in childhood—perhaps even more mature," I confirmed. "There's something else going on. I'll try to find out what the issue is. Also she is not your Bhabhi yet"

"Hui nahi toh ho jayegi, Hamein aap par vishwas hai Bhai Sa" Lakshay smiled (She is not yet, but will be soon, We have full trust on you Bhai Sa)

I soon left and went to my room after assuring Aditi that it was not her fault. Before long, I fell asleep.

The next morning, I was supposed to meet Gautam at his place, hoping Anjali would be there too so I could ask her what the problem was. But to my dismay, she was not at home.
