We both start to walk out of the store as kie talks to me. "He'll want to have kids. I know it, he's probably gonna-" she starts, but we freeze when we see Topper and John b taking.
"No no no no no" kie mutters, as we run out.
"Oh, hey kie. Hey Stella, looking good" topper smiles at me. I roll my eyes.
"Hey John b, not a good time" kie said
"Looking good? The lamest thing you've ever said" John b snaps, backing up, then he flips him off.
"Bitch" he mutters
"Go" kie says
We start walking away, John b a little ahead of us. My mind races. Should I even tell him about the doctors warning? About how my chance to get pregnant might be slipping away? I push down the thoughts- there's no time, not yet.
"Wait...when are you gonna tell him?" Kie asks quietly.
"I'll just tell him later" I answer, forcing a calm I don't feel.
On our way to the boat, Kie explains everything JJ told her- everything Luke explained, and the letter.
"Okay, so you're telling me jj thinks that chandler Groff , the heir to Goat island, is his real dad?" John b asks as we got in the boat.
"I don't know maybe. And I wouldn't have even told you but he's been freaking out ever sense he got that letter. And I know that's where he went. I'm worried" kie says
"Why would the Genrettes keep that a secret for so many years?" John b asks
"People keep secrets for a lot of reasons" kie replies, and I glance at her.
"Okay, well it's the last place we've looked so dealers choice." John b says.
Kie nudges me to tell him, but I just turn around as John b looks back. Then he starts driving the boat toward Goat Island.
By the time we were almost there, night has fallen. I'm scanning the water when I see something.
"What is that? Hey- wait, kill the engine. Kill the engine." I tell John b, and he quickly obeys.
We glide past the trees and see a large boat. JJ is there. My chest tightens- seeing him alive, but in danger, I hate it.
"Oh God.... it's JJ" I mutter
"And that's Groff" John b adds
"Those are the guys from Charleston who took the scroll, and the scuba guy." I t said
"What do they want with JJ?" John b asks
"I don't think it's JJ they want" kie said
"We could....like ram em. Create a distraction" kie suggests.
"Ram that? No it's not even gonna leave a dent." John b said
