You heard some noises coming from downstairs. It'd been about an hour since Loki left your room. You were mostly sitting by your window trying to weight the situation in your head. You attempted suicide and were saved by the God of Mischief who happens to be the most notorious being in the world if not the whole tree of Yggdrasil. After the attack on New York, you read a lot of about Norse Mythology and their Gods. Your ex-boyfriend was also very interested in these types of subjects. You stared into your book shelf with pain to spot the book he'd gifted you called "Mythology Dictionary". It had the entire list of Gods and Goddesses with their descriptions. You slowly got up and reached for the book. Its lovely blue cover reminded you of old times. You let out a sigh and sat down by your window again—flipping through the pages to go to the letter "L".

LOKI THE TRICKSTER: Loki is the son of Laufey and Farbauiti. He is the God of Mischief and often known for his cunning personality and cleverness. He lives in Asgard.

"Good to know what I'm dealing with" you whispered to yourself. There was a knock at the door. You closed the book without proceeding to the next paragraph.

"Come in" you said discordantly.

Loki slowly opened the door and walked in with a tray in his hand and a glass of water in the other. You were totally shocked. He walked with a faint smile and approached you by the window. You still couldn't get used to his odd outfit.

"Uhm, I'm sorry about earlier. Here, I am not quite sure what these are. But this fruit reminded me of a fruit from Asgard. I am not sure what these are either but they tasted pretty good" he said, first pointing at an apple and then a cup of cereal. He sat the plate by you and put the glass of water on the ledge.

You warily pulled the plate closer and stared at Loki's eyes. You admired his features in a sneaky manner and couldn't believe yourself once more.

"This" you pointed at the bowl of cereal and added "you're supposed to mix this with milk and eat it that way but it doesn't matter. Thank you" you said, swallowing some corn flakes with haste.

Loki faced you and sat in front of you relatively farther away than before, perhaps remembering your reaction from before and stared outside your window into your garden.

"Your garden seems quite unattended..." he looked into the almost empty backyard.

"Uh... yeah" you reluctantly said, trying to get the crumbs of cereal from the bowl. You were so hungry.

"I never had the time to look after it. My father pretty much lives overseas for half the year. I can say that I live alone I guess".

"Is it hard... to live without your father?" Loki curiously asked, looking into your eyes. You felt like his gaze was hammering into your brain.

"No... not as hard as it is to live without my boyfriend who died because of YOU" you said with a sudden rush of heat overwhelming you. Loki stared at you sympathetically.

"Is that why you chose death?" he said, putting his left arm on the ledge as if he was getting ready to listen to a story.

"In part..." you tried to conceal your pain against him.

"Tell me what happened" Loki demanded.

"I see no reason why I should talk to 'you'" you frowned.

"I will tell you why I'm here, if you tell me what happened to you" he pleaded. You once more remembered the textbook definition of Loki. Cunning and clever, you agreed.
