You felt so uneasy standing before Freyja's throne that was slightly higher from the ground level. Her gaze was cold, emotionless and almost lacked any formation. You silently stood before her with Thor on your side who seemed to share your feelings. Both of you waited for the proud queen to start talking first. She sighed and her eyes scanned you from head to toe, you kept your eyes on hers without fear.
"Heimdall has informed me with such information that I do not doubt will be some danger in all realms" she spoke with such ease with her elbow resting on the side.
"So here stands the ultimate being before me that will save the neglected universe we've all abandoned in our hopes since eternity. Your father is responsible for my mother's position and you know that, Asgardian prince" she said with a frown, her eyes moving onto Thor's silent figure.
"I do not recognize your father's authority at all. I will only help you because she can best free my mother from her endless pain. My mother was a wise huntress and loyal to her father. No matter what the elder gods might think, I know she would not hurt my grandfather." Freyja's bitter words echoed in the room, she got up from the throne and gently went down the steps towards you.
"You think Odin to be so wise, so true, but madness in great ones goes unwatched most" her eyes narrowed and she came close to Thor, almost too close. You could see that Thor was very stressed.
"Freyja, your mother's soul is with me and it's true that I can stop Ragnarok. I am not really here for Odin or anyone else; I'm here because I can save us. I'm here because..." you cleared your throat; you could go on no longer. Your woe took over you knowing you wouldn't be able to tell them the real reason why you were actually going through with all this. She gave you a profound stare.
"Let the doors be shut" she loudly said and two warriors hurried to the doors and closed them quickly as if they didn't want to anger the troubled queen more.
"When all of this is over, free my mother's soul and let her have peace. But if you turn out to be another Asgardian liar, then I will find you fair lady. As pure as snow you may seem, we shall see your true worth at the end of this battle." She said with ease and pulled out something from around her neck, handing it to you inside her brown leather gloves.
You looked into your palm to see a flaming red necklace; it was glowing so bright you could swear you saw actual fire burning inside it. Its glow increased in your Jotun hands, making a high pitched sound. You stared at Thor and Freyja in awe.
"Brisingamen belonged to my mother; Heimdall was the one to bring it back to me after her death. She gave it to me when I was little and told me that if I had this with me, death could be more ignorant to my existence. I hope it may provide you protection" she said staring at the necklace. You thanked her and put it around your neck to accompany Loki's gift.
"I promise I will free your mother, no matter what the cost Freyja" you told her with faith.
"I have no choice but to take your word. I know what you seek, you want to know where he is" she said looking into your eyes. You had a feeling she meant Loki but Thor perhaps assumed she was referring to Thanos, you sighed in relief.
"Give out your hand and I may see" you gave out your hand to Freyja so fast and eagerly that Thor gave you a weird look. You saw that Freyja's eyes started glowing just like yours, her eyes looking into the future you would die to see. She softly sighed and let go of your hand.
"The future is still changing, the outcome of the battle lies with how much you can endure the circumstances of what I'm about to tell you. The fate of the universe lies with a small decision you're to make, just one decision. I cannot tell you what it is for it may endanger its probability of it happening. The man you seek is on Earth. Thanos and his men are slaughtering humankind as we speak" she said coldly, not looking at your face that just turned pale—you instantly started shaking and your arms glowing like never before. You couldn't breathe anymore, your eyes open wide in fear, and Thor held your arm kindly.
"There will be many lives lost, including a man with a circle of light on his chest" as Freyja uttered the words, you pictured Tony's smiling face and the way he blinked at you one time and you remembered the check he had given you. Tears filled your eyes and your entire being was only focused on one thing.
"I'm going back to Earth, to save him and find Loki" you said as you could taste your bitter tears. Thor dropped Mjolnir and put both of his hands on your arms.
"____(y/n), this is a trap. They want you to go! Don't you see? They will try to capture you and if you go, not only Earth but the entire universe will be in danger. If they take you, we all will die not just Mr. Stark!" he shook you but you weren't listening to him at all.
"I don't give a damn, Thor! I will not let my friends fight this alone! I won't let Tony die! I thought you had a heart! If it had been Jane in danger, what would have you done? Just tell me!" your anger overwhelmed you and you hit Thor on the chest, his armor completely bent inward. Your own strength startled you.
"That is exactly why I am telling you to stay here! If you go, they will take you and you will die! I won't let that happen, I can't afford to lose you in this battle!" he grabbed Mjolnir and walked towards you from where you pushed him.
"What are you going to do about it? Are you going to try to stop me like your brother? Are you going to betray me like him? You are no different than him!" Freyja held onto your arm that was holding the golden bow, you didn't even realize you had pulled it out. You frankly stared at it and turned your attention to Thor, who had tears in his eyes. Freyja sighed and looked down.
"Thor, her decision is final. You won't be able to stop her from going no matter what you do. I'm sorry" she said and let go of your arm, walking back to her throne wearily.
"I can handle myself, I can do this. I am not crazy, I know what I'm doing!" you spat out with your broken voice. Thor came closer and held onto your waist like he always did before teleporting and added:
"So be it"
