You regarded Loki's reactions as natural. The only problem was the scale of his actions was too big and caused too many bad things to follow it, potentially the end of the world. You sat down on the chair, still in the shock of his sudden and poignant outburst. You felt like he was seriously angry with you at this point and he had a valid reason. Nevertheless, you followed him back in the house shortly after. You looked around the empty house.

"He must have gone upstairs" you thought and went up the stairs quietly. You stood between your door and his, looking back and forth. You let out a big sigh and shrugged. You made your decision and headed towards Loki's room. Thinking this was going to be a feeble attempt to fix things, you knocked on his door anyway.

"Come in, ____(y/n)" Loki said with a moody tone.

You hesitantly went in. You spotted Loki on the floor surrounded by books. He quickly looked at you and turned his attention back to the thick book in his hand. You couldn't help the guilty expression on your face. Maybe the way you pushed him around this week was too much? You took a couple steps towards him to see the title of the book. It said "Calculus". You went and sat next to him. The narrowing personal space between you did not irritate you as much as before.

"I see why your planet is primitive in comparison to the other realms now" he merely said as he examined the pages.

How did he manage to make you mad so much? It was like he knew you well enough to even know what made you mad. You kept your cool blood for the sake of what had happened before. You randomly landed your index finger on a question.

"Do this question then, in your head" there was no way he could do that one in his head. He chuckled.

"Two x square minus 2 times 5 x plus 20" he said with pride. You stared at him in awe and grabbed the book from his hand. You flipped to the back of the book to double check his answer.

"I do not blame you for what you think of me, ____(y/n)." Loki said as you searched for the right question number. You couldn't turn to face him and kept looking in the book.

"But you know I will go through with my mission at all costs" he added weakly. His gaze on you made you slightly blush.

"You were right" you said with your eyes almost popping out from their sockets. He sweetly smiled at you and pulled the book from your hands without warning.

"Heeey" you said with a frown. His smile became wider and he pointed at a question.

"Your turn" you could count all of his teeth, he was very pleased perhaps predicting you'd fail at solving it.

The question indeed was really tough. You remembered your struggle with this class last semester. There was no way a person could have solved the question without at least a paper to write on.

"Are you mad?! No one can do this question without writing it down! Do you know how many formulas I need to use to solve it?" you complained passionately, unaware of the fact that you got closer to Loki while pointing at the question.

You turned to face him. You were never so close to his face before, and you adored his features. His flawless skin reflected the daylight perfectly. Your heart heightened with fascination—by absolute delight you felt because of his angelic face. All of his details were revealed to you. His eyebrows were as if they were drawn on his face with intent, his slightly thin lips called to your attention. Your mind was totally emptied of sorrow, of regret and of thoughts which never left your mind since the events of New York. You almost forgot your own—yes, you even forgot it was the person who took your life away from you was actually the one standing in front of you. His auburn hair, the sole visible difference between Loki and the new one you believed in, was highlighted with sunlight. You would remember this moment. Even if Loki were to kill you tomorrow, you didn't care too much. Your eyes were arrested by his—the ever-changing colors were now transformed into an icy blue tone. You could see each and every mosaic shape making up the unique patterns of his eyes. They reminded you of undulant waters of an angry ocean which you felt like you went to skinny-dip in. You felt exposed, by all means; he was going through your soul. Your compressed feelings for him dissolved in your heart, completely diffused in every single corner of it. A warm feeling rapidly filled up your body. You remained speechless and motionless, looking incredulously at Loki with your slightly opened mouth.

You recovered yourself rapidly as you predicted your vacant stares were to leave its place to you unintentionally moving closer to him. You were not sure if all of this happened in a moment or you were staring at Loki for the last ten minutes. How could you ask him? What was he going to say? You entirely freaked out.

"Oh my God! What the hell was I doing? What was I thinking? How could I do this to him? How could I do this to my memories?"

As you were restored, thoughts came back into your brain and already started crowding your mind with what just happened. You awkwardly coughed and fixed your hair, turning tomato red without looking at him. You could feel he was still staring at you.

"Uhhh, you wanna go for a walk?" you said with almost a shriek. This naturally made you more worry and freak out.

"Sure" Loki said after a five second pause.

You literally flew out of his room.
