You followed him to the stairs. His auburn hair was curlier on the back now, you gave his room a quick stare through the open door to spot an odd object but nothing caught your eye. You went down the stairs as you wondered where this weapon called "the scepter" was. But that thought disappeared fast when you saw the beautifully decorated table in the kitchen. You saw many things in your life that no one would probably see but this was even more memorable than being saved from a flying car. You were frozen in your place; Loki stood by the table and gave you the biggest smile you'd ever see him give, even more so than the time he solved that insane math problem.

"No WAY!" you screamed, you couldn't help yourself at all. Loki laughed and gave you a satisfied look.

You approached to see that the table was symmetrically arranged. On the two big plates you spotted omelets which you'd never seen in your life before, they were surrounded by interesting herbs. There were two muffins on the sides and you saw two cups of sliced fruits next to each plate. Even though it felt like it was more than sufficient, you realized there were three cups of drinks on each side as well. One was filled with orange juice, the other with water and the last one with tea, a glass cup with sugar in it was conveniently placed next to the tea cups. The forks and knives were placed in correct order on the sides with napkins under them. All you could do was staring at Loki with a smile in shock.

"I... just, I don't know..." your words were not in the right places, you could stare at the table for hours.

"Don't. Just sit and enjoy" Loki said with delight and pulled the chair for you to sit. You sat down; you did not want to eat anymore as the table was heavenly. He sat on his chair and looked at you.

"How... how do you even..." you still did not regain your ability to talk properly and stared blankly at what's become of Loki since his arrival.

"I've been observing the way you cook and serve. On top of that, I was a prince. I know how royalty tables are set" he proudly said as he started cutting his omelet into pieces.

"T-thank you" you awkwardly said as you started digging into the delicious food.

After you both finished your food and cleaned up the table, Loki went into the garage and came out with two buckets.

"Can you please bring me plastic bags from the pantry? I'm going out to the backyard" he said as he carried the presumably heavy buckets of water with ease. You nodded and got him some bags, as you opened the door to the backyard the notion that all of this would end soon was a stab to your heart.

You sat down under the shade as Loki worked his magic with the dying plants that seemed more alive than ever before. You weren't very interested in them, but Loki's enthusiasm was remarkable. You started to think that his heart softened more than ever. However, terror quickly took over you to think he nevertheless was the God of Mischief. You weren't sure if the other side of him would influence him enough to change him back again. As the thoughts traveled in your mind, you saw that he was trying so hard to fix a certain flower. You got up and got closer to see that it was the rue plant he was gently caring for. It was coming to life between his fingers; you knelt by Loki to have a closer look. It almost seemed supernatural to you.

"How did you manage to bring it back to life?" you asked as you reached out to touch the delicate flower in his hands. Loki stared at the flower with a smile; there was a dead silence for a while.

"I showed her that I care" he ponderously said. Your hand slipped from the flower to touch Loki's fingers. You softly gasped when you realized he wouldn't move his hand if you didn't pull it away. He stared at you with downcast eyes when you pulled your hand.

"The flower of grace... It's very fascinating" you mumbled as you once more were coated with red on your cheeks.

"Oh, you should get ready soon" he said with a compassionate expression.

"For what?" you asked.

"We're going to a party tonight" he smirked as he watered the rue.

"Oh my god... oh my god..." you said under your breath, you wished you could just bury your head under the layer of grass.

"I already talked to Sophie, we're going" he glanced over you with utter joviality. You grunted and buried your face in your hands.

"____(y/n), we are going" Loki repeated his statement boldly. Your irritation pleased him.

You elbowed Loki in the guts and he burst into laughter.
