Oddly enough, it was empty out there. You looked over Loki's shoulder to see that the entire crowd was inside the ballroom and there were some announcements being made. It was all meaningless buzzes for you; you felt the damp air against your skin and slightly woke up from the numb feeling. You saw that the mirror trend was also carried out here, there were many mirrors, put in a big circle and the middle of it was the dance floor which was completely empty now.

After Loki pulled you in the middle of the dance floor, he turned to face you with a frown and let out a deep sigh. You looked around the countless mirrors surrounding you, spotting Loki from any angle you could possibly look at him. The seriousness of his face made you feel uneasy, but on the other hand you knew you had a reason to be this grumpy. You were determined to keep your silence until he broke his.

"I must admit I'm a bit confounded by your reaction" Loki said as he slightly tilted his head. You kept your silence and stared at him with an expression heavy as an axe.

He took a couple steps towards you until there was no room between you two. There was an indefinable, faint smile on his lips as he put his hands in his right pocket to get something out. His smile intensified. He pulled out a small black box and stared at it. You were absolutely paralyzed.

"Your friend was very informative when I asked her about you. I made a small request and she gladly helped." Loki slowly opened the box.

You stared at the most beautiful necklace you'd seen in your entire life, including the sapphire one. It was beautifully cut, sparkling in many colors that you'd never seen with ___(f/c) dominating them. It had that kind of power to capture someone's eyes and enslave them to its magnificence. It was cut in a tear shape with another small gem decorating it, the heaviest tone of emerald green accompanying the tear cut gem. Your eyes went on a riot pompously, tears little by little traveled down your face. You realized you fell for what every person Loki loved fell for. You never tried to give him a chance, never truly trusted him. There was no explanation for your feelings despite the fact that you just never brought yourself to trust him. Your actions today irritated you badly, he didn't deserve it.

You hoped for so long that the rumors in your heart weren't true. All the subconscious talks you had with yourself proved futile.

"I love him. I loved him for a while now..."

"Loki..." you muttered as he got on your back to put on the necklace. This moment was awfully too familiar to you. You were startled by your pain which was brought to you by your bitter flashbacks. You decided to go through it all for him anyway. He faced you again with a wide smile.

"Thank you" you said as you both smiled and cried at the same time.

Words were meaningless, there was nothing to say and it felt like Loki knew it too. He didn't say anything and extended his hand to you. You took it with concern.

He quickly wrapped his right hand around your waist as he held your right hand inside his left palm, positioning you for a dance. Your eyes looked into his with intensity, begging him not to make you dance. His eyes seemed so celestial and also lost, lost inside yours. He softly pushed himself against you; your bodies were touching and he pulled you even closer so that your head rested on his shoulder. He rested his on yours. He was swaying back and forth with you; your feet were not matching his graceful moves. Even if you were the best dancer in the world, with the mixture of emotions you were going through it would be impossible to even hold up still. You no longer could hold yourself back from him and wrapped your hands around his back and enveloped him in a tight hug—you could feel his heartbeats racing with the same frantic rhythm as yours. You stared at yourself in the mirror, you could see your happiness in your ____(e/c) eyes. But you couldn't keep them open as Loki led you into a trance, you could finally feel his frozen being as one with yours, and he smelled better than any flower you watched him bring back to life. You grinned and admitted to yourself that his greatest work, however, would be you.

" ____(y/n)" Loki softly whispered your name, his warm breath caressed your neck and you held onto him tighter not to just slip away. He slowly pushed himself back to face you again and stopped dancing.

"Do you remember I told you I'd tell you more about that girl?" he whispered timidly and kept his gaze away from you.

"Yes..." you looked into his eyes that seemed more of your necklace's emerald color now.

Loki awkwardly turned you around and stared at your figure on one of the many mirrors that'd been reflecting your love for each other for a while. He pushed you closer to one of them as he kept his eye contact steady.

"She didn't break my heart... " you became awfully curious, your necklace caught your eye for a split second. You looked into Loki's eyes once more while you felt that his hands that were on your arms grew tighter.

"You're looking right at her" Loki said as a tear was caught in his eye. The honesty you felt in his words sent your body in a coma—a coma you didn't want to wake up from, your head was nearly spinning with what you just heard. You were having trouble containing yourself again; you became shameless and turned to face him.

Loki's expression was of a worried father, of a lustful lover and of a desperate friend that wanted to help you. He held onto your arms again, rubbing them soothingly and he stared into your teary eyes. He slowly pushed back your hair—that wasn't so puffy anymore—from your face. His face seemed familiar to you as the distance between your faces was becoming less and less, you remembered the awkward moment you had with him in his room. You suddenly blushed and you were so close to Loki's face that your noses touched.

And time stopped flowing like that time you flew to death's grasp.

Loki's relatively thin lips glided over yours softly and his breath sprinkled against your mouth. Poisoned by his enthusiasm in kissing you, you returned his kiss. You passionately started kissing him—your lips only parted for seconds to take in air. You could feel that all the pain and sorrow was being washed away with his tongue dancing with yours. You felt that the ground under your feet was sliding, for a moment you thought it was because of how he made you feel. But as Loki came to a halt and stopped, you knew the feeling was real.

The ground was actually shaking. Loki's eyes became wide and alert. His grasp on your arms hurt them now, but he wasn't aware of that.

"Noooo!" Loki screamed out and completely threw himself on top of you to cover your entire body as you heard continuous explosions of glass breaking and shattering around you. The small pieces of glass were flying around you like knives—a horizontal storm of sharp rain drops.

You were frozen in your astonishment and confusion. Everything went black and there was not a single sound, you still felt Loki's body against yours, but it was for some reason, sturdier. You slowly opened your eyes to the blurry vision of an emerald green fabric. The green shade was taken away from your eyes in a flash as you realized it was Loki's familiar cape held before you in a protective fashion. You saw Loki next to you dressed in his traditional armor, his helmet had golden horns coming out of it—which shone with the starlight reflecting on it.

"Starlight?"

"Oh my god... where the hell am I?!" you freaked out becoming aware of your surroundings. You were on some sort of a desert. The dust on the ground reminded you of the Grand Canyon, this rocky vast area stretched as far as your eyes could perceive. The sky never felt so close to your eyes before, you could spot stars in every part of it, and it almost felt overcrowded for a view from the Earth. You over-ventilated and stared at Loki who was staring at you with the same surprise. His pitch black hair was coming under his helmet and reaching pretty close to his shoulders—awkwardly curling up at the ends. His face became so cold that for a moment you weren't sure if this was really Loki.

He got up and walked a couple steps away from you, looking around like he expected to see something... or someone.
