You weren't too sure with Loki's sudden hundred and eighty degree personality switch at the beach. It was apparent he quickly became troubled by something.

"I wonder what that girl did to her... As if what his father did to him wasn't enough, now there's this girl..." you thought as you two approached your house. You reached out to the door to unlock it; giving Loki an extensive look and entering in to see the accustomed sight of your large living room. The infirmity on Loki's face started to make you feel powerless. He headed towards the stairs.

"Is there anything I can do?" you said, your lips curled with sadness without your control.

"You know it's incurable" he said, his cold eyes caught yours between the rails of the stairs he was going up. He went up the stairs and disappeared into the direction of his room.

You let him go. You didn't know what you could possibly do and this wasn't the first time you felt destitute since he saved you from death. Your own mess was enough to deal with and now you clearly started to feel more responsible for Loki's situation—you knew he never expected you to but you couldn't help it anyway. You silently went upstairs as well. As you passed by his room, you could feel an aura of loneliness and pain escaping from the door. You sighed and returned to your room's route. With hot debates in your head, you changed into more comfortable clothes. You felt it would be pointless to go to his room; you didn't want to feel like you were being all over him. Maybe it was the best to let him be, so you decided to try a different strategy to get him out of his room or rather, lure him out.

You headed into your bathroom, you left its door open since it'd directly face Loki's door and this would enable you to see if he was to get out. You combed your ___(y/ht) ___(y/hc) hair and used a couple hair clips to keep it away from your face for the rest of the day. No, Loki wasn't coming out and you thought it wouldn't happen anytime soon.

"Let's see if my trick will get you out" you thought and headed downstairs, you heard absolutely no sound as you passed his room again.

Your kitchen seemed livelier than ever before. Since Loki's arrival in the house you started to cook more frequently than buy fast food from outside. This was of course good for you and the God that lived with you. You had a weird thought about if Gods would ever get sick or have a heart attack because of bad eating habits. You dove into your pantry to search for a certain box. Your final answer was no to the question you had about God's being sick and you felt a sudden envy. You spotted the blue box you needed which was under a pile of other ones you'd have to move.

"How convenient is that?" you muttered with slight annoyance and tried to pull it out without breaking the tower of boxes.

"Ah, Pop-Secret you will save my life" you whispered to yourself and took a plastic bag out of the box.

You placed it in the microwave and set the timer to "popcorn". As it wildly started to pop, you intentionally stepped back to stand in an angle you could see a fraction of Loki's door. The noise would perhaps get him out. You felt a sudden rush of disappointment as he did not come out.

"Not a dangerous enough sound, I suppose" you thought while getting the bag out.

"Ouch!" you whispered as you threw the bag on the marble counter. You poured the popcorn into a big plastic bowl with extra care not to burn your fingers again.

"Plan B" you told yourself and headed upstairs to the game room which was conveniently located right next to Loki's room.

You recalled a time when your aunt and her family came over your house to stay. You slept in the room that Loki was in for that weekend since your aunt's daughter insisted on staying in yours. You never were good at saying no so the day after you found some of your comic books accidentally torn apart. You remembered the excessive rage you had towards her for being so absentminded and careless. You were quite attached to those, and they were only a few of things you were overly attached to. Good thing you had a couple books with you in that room that night that you saved—including your Mythology dictionary—otherwise they'd probably be torn too. You knew every movement from the game room could be heard in Loki's. You devilishly smiled and sat on the big couch and turned on the TV.

"No human, no God or no frost giant can resist the smell of some freshly made popcorn" you grinned in the empty room.

You decided and went to check your arsenal of DVDs to find something to watch until you'd lure the frost giant out. Your fingers touched the glossy surface of the cases as your hand passed over them. It wasn't long before you came to a stop as you spotted your "Titanic" DVD.

"Let's put Loki to test..." you barely stopped your giggling and put on the DVD.

And just as you expected, about ten minutes into the movie, Loki's door slowly opened. You could see his shadow on the floor and you were sure he was staring at the TV from that angle. A smile took over your face as you thought about how stealthy he was "not" being. He slowly walked into the room and his eyebrows were raised in question. You had a feeling of relief as you realized he looked better than how he was at the shore. You stuffed your mouth with as much popcorn as you could and stared at his face with the same wonder he'd been giving you. Somewhere beyond his eyes, you knew he was still troubled.

"What are you doing?" he asked as he moved closer to you. He blocked your vision and you grunted and let out a "moo" sound with popcorn invading your mouth. He realized you weren't able to see the weird pixelated box you felt so in to. He sat next to you and was completely captivated by your TV.

"How are those people in that box?" he asked with concern.

"They are not, it's just a movie" you said, handing him the plastic bowl to offer him some popcorn.

"What is this?" he muttered as he reached for a piece.

"You have so much to learn mister" you sighed and added "popcorn".

"Oh" Loki said, your answer making no difference in the way he perceived the strange and unfamiliar white food.

As you reached the end of the movie, you were no longer holding the bowl and your space was narrowed since Loki took as much space as he could on the couch, he was eating popcorn like he didn't eat anything in two days. He kept asking you obvious questions as you watched the movie—like the functions of a boat and the reason why people there did not have those screens that they always touch to talk to each other to call for help. You gave Loki a great stare, completely disconnected from the movie you already watched many times before.

"What happens when your allies come for me?" you asked idly. Loki was completely caught off guard with your question. You paused the movie. He changed his comfortable position and sat up, staring at you with surprise.

"That depends if you really are the prophesied being we're looking for" he replied, remaining surprised. You didn't say anything, as you expected him to say more. Your emotions stirred in your heart. You were... afraid.

"Am I going to be killed to be able to save him?" you mildly said. Loki awkwardly repositioned himself on his seat as if he just sat on something very sharp and felt disturbed.

"No" he looked into your eyes with worry and added:

"I thought you didn't care about being alive" you sighed as what he just said occupied your mind more than it already did. Why would you be afraid of dying? Isn't that what you wanted?

"I don't" you said, aware of your lie. He kept looking at you with worry; perhaps you couldn't trick the trickster.

"____(y/n), I need to leave your chambers for tonight" Loki firmly said, without looking at you this time.

"Why?" you asked, your tummy twisted with the fear of him permanently disappearing somehow.

"Do you remember what I told you about the scepter?" he answered your question with another one.

"Y-yes..." you said in hurry so he'd just tell you what was going on.

"It is time for me to get it back... tonight" he said, leaning back on the couch while turning his stare on you.

"Can I come?" you asked even though you already knew the answer.

"It's far dangerous for you to be present" he objected.

"Will you come back?" you asked, not looking at him.

"Yes"

"Okay" you replied, though something in your heart told you that he wouldn't come back for you or when he did, it would be with his allies to take you for whatever they were going to do with you. You could feel Loki kept his glance fixed upon you as you turned the movie back on.
