There was a brief silence as everybody waited for the Thunderer to say something about what was happening. You knew the Avengers were more clueless than you considering they weren't there to listen to Odin and his captivating story of Skadi's dramatic life. Thor's eyes scanned around him in worry, but the worried expression was already gone from his face when his eyes landed on his brother who stood very erect and still—not trying to keep his eyes from his. You felt that Thor's frown was the hint giving away how upset he seemed with him but somehow you couldn't catch hatred in his sky blue eyes; it was as if malice would never be nurtured in his big heart.

"I cannot tell you everything here my friends. We do not know what purpose Thanos had leaving my brother behind in our care" Thor took a couple thoughtful steps towards the God of Mischief.

"Well at least tell us what he knows then" Tony said and smirked. Bruce crossed his arms and looked away from Loki and seemed very uncomfortable.

"It is true, ____(y/n) is the special being that will save us" Thor said and was interrupted by a sly and silky voice that made you lightly shaky.

"You're talking in such certain manner, brother. I thought I was the one who was overconfident and had pride" Loki said and kept his head very high, his eyes narrowing with disgust after looking at the God of Thunder. You couldn't help but your eyes lingered over his jaw line. After all he'd done to you, you were appreciating his beautiful and tricky complexion that almost cost you Tony's life.

"I see why they leashed you last time" you reminded him with mixed feelings, you were directly talking to him and somehow it felt so unnatural.

"You cocky, dull creature!" Loki snarled and turned to you like he barely stopped himself from attacking you; he looked just like an angry bull with his helmet.

"Will you just shut up before I put an arrow through your tongue?" Clint shouted. Loki and he glowered at each other. Steve got up on his feet and walked closer to Dr. Banner after giving everybody a concerned look.

"Thor, tell us what needs to be done to ensure everyone's safety. He will try to stall us" the super soldier glared at Loki.

"I am not sure what Thanos is planning and it's best we seek my father's council. As you've always done, you have proven your worth to the universe once more my friends. But the final battle will be in Asgard and you will give us an edge. I'd like to invite you all there—we need your help" Thor's face was hard. You took a deep breath to steady yourself and looked around to see the silent exchanges of stares flying among your friends. Bruce rubbed his forehead and got up on his feet next to Steve.

"Just what are we dealing with here guys? If Thanos came here just to drop off Loki, what does that tell us about ____(y/n)?" he asked while putting on his glasses and he walked towards you. You had a hard time keeping your face straight.

"Thanos must know he cannot just take her away. ____(y/n) is blessed with the ability of teleportation and I am not aware of any artifacts or magic to contain her anywhere against her will. She has proven that in our journey to Vanaheim" Thor said and gave Loki an uneasy look as if he wasn't sure if he already knew this fact or not. Bruce curled his lips and seemed lost in thought; the silence was broken when Natasha shot up on her feet with her hand on her ear.

"Director?" she murmured and her face became suddenly pale with the voices you couldn't hear. She didn't even bother replying back to Fury and looked at everyone's faces in awe. Clint reached out to hold her hand.

"What now?' Tony said in a firm voice.

"The... gem has gone missing. Mr. Auden let in more of Thanos' spies into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s vault" she frowned.

"What gem? What artifact is this?" Thor moved closer to Natasha and heard Loki's muffled chuckle behind him. He knew Loki very much enjoyed being one step ahead of him, it was his way of taking revenge—he just wanted to prove he was smarter than him.

"So slow... to catch on" Loki heavily whispered and grinned at him. Thor almost flew towards his brother with Mjolnir in his hand.

"You better start talking; I will not let you play another game!" Thor's adorable voice boomed in the technology heaven. Loki softly laughed and didn't seem threatened at all.

"An infinity gem was hidden on Earth" Loki briefly pointed out. Thor's left hand grasped Loki's slender neck and it seemed like he was going to choke him, you got up on your feet without your control.

"A gem of that sort does not grant Thanos any advantage over Asgard or ____(y/n)!" Thor concluded.

"Of course not, with the gauntlet missing it's pointless" Loki smiled widely under Thor's squeeze. You walked over to the Asgardian brothers.

"So you're telling me Thanos wasn't here for me but was here to take a gem that won't even help him?" you finally found the courage to directly look into his green eyes.

"Are you disappointed that not everything is about you, mortal?" Loki said in a dark voice.

Your jaw clenched and you wanted to throw yourself on top of him to punch him as long as you could, but you felt Bruce's hand over yours to stop you. Loki tilted his head and smiled after his eyes landed on the green necklace he'd gifted you which still was around your neck. Thor growled and let go of Loki to turn around to look at all the Avengers.

"He will not tell us more but my father surely knows ways to even make 'him' talk" his eyes landed on you for a long minute.

"Let me just get in Mark 42 and we can be off to your shiny realm" Tony sighed and went over to where his suits were.

"It will be interesting" Natasha said with an eyebrow raised, Clint smirked at her.

"I really want to just see Loki getting in trouble first hand, it will be fun" Hawkeye added and completed the circle around him. Loki gave him an evil smile showing he thought he was completely wrong with his expectations.

"He may be trying to trick us into searching for something that is not even important to keep us distracted" Steve slowly said, you decided in your head that he could be right. It was as if anything Loki said was a potential lie.

"I suppose we will see about that when we go talk to Thor's father" Bruce said and turned to face Thor's troubled complexion. You saw that Tony walked backed into the crowd with weird noises coming from his direction; you saw that he was in his red hot golden suit of armor. Thor came closer to the tight circle formed around Loki.

"This one does have the filter system" Tony added an unnecessary detail. He managed to put a faint smile on Thor's face who uttered the gate keeper's name afterwards.
