You headed out to the familiar throne room without saying a single word to the handsome god next to you because each step you took towards Thor left you breathless. You had an awful feeling in your heart that you perhaps led him on without really intending it—you were hurting too much and could certainly admit to yourself that you weren't thinking too clearly then either. You liked Thor very much but there was something you just couldn't describe about Loki that was extremely inviting, there was something about who he was that lured you in. The fact that he was gracefully walking next to you was enough reason to make you feel strong through what was coming even though now all you wished was that his fight with his family would come to an end—the rest didn't matter much, as much as you wished to be his queen. You would never be able to say those words, ever.

You and Loki finally came out of the darkness of the corridor and reached the opening. Your eyes scanned the surroundings and traced over the dim lights of candles, you saw "him" and clenched your teeth to gulp back the horrible feeling surrounding your lungs. You blinked awkwardly and gave Loki a quick look. He was as always expressionless and calculating yet his eyes were totally fixed on Thor's figure because he wasn't even blinking. You locked eyes on Thor's weary figure; he was sitting on a chair and was being faced by Freyja. You couldn't pick up their distant speech as you timidly approached them, your expression became slightly apologetic and your eyebrows curled up in your sadness but Thor did not return it. He had no expression at all on his face but tiredness and this made you feel guiltier than ever before. You could feel Loki approaching them as well, you made sure you stood a step ahead of him just in case. You opened your mouth to say something but Freyja caught up on Thor's fixed eyes behind her and turned around to see you both, an automated smile was all she could display for a while.

"I haven't a thought you'd be awake so soon. I was about to call upon you" she said happily, your eyes lingered on her unnecessarily tight corset. She was dressed up for Thor? You frowned uncontrollably but smiled at the same time not to seem weird and it actually made you seem weird. You constantly kept looking at Loki for any expression you could read but all he was doing was scanning both the figures without any sign of life.

"Leave us alone Freyja..." Thor said boldly, it was apparent that he wasn't there to play around anymore. He realized the way he sounded different a bit late and added "please" forcefully. Freyja gave him an annoyed look but then smiled brightly and nodded at him, the fakeness inside this room was about to make you sick.

"Keep them from fighting each other like dogs, ____(y/n)" Freyja said with her widened eyes glued on you and swiftly walked off, the gigantic entrance door banged loudly as she left, after the echo stopped you could hear Loki's amused chuckles.

"You had no talent in speech then, you have no talent now 'brother'" he mumbled, keeping his distance from the thunderer with a smirk. Thor glared at him momentarily and ignored him, turning his head towards you instead; it seemed he didn't know how to start talking just like you. You turned and faced him with a sigh. You slowly walked towards him and stood right in front him while he was sitting down— you were looking around everywhere but Loki's eyes.

"I can't say that I'm sorry for what I've done but you should know that I didn't mean to hurt anybody" you said in a low voice while handing him his red cape, Thor rose on his feet then and looked into your eyes intensely as he brought his hand onto the redness.

"Yet your blindness I've seen in your eyes remains. It worries me that you trust him more than you should" he sighed, your eyes that'd been lingering in his golden locks went down to feel his hands on top of yours holding the fabric. As much as you didn't want to admit, you did feel something but it would never be compared to what you felt when Loki was around you.
