You grabbed the empty tray and glass, getting up from the floor.

"I will be right back, I will put these in the dishwasher" you said and walked out swiftly.

He perhaps didn't know what you meant by that. You slowed down in relief after you knew Loki could no longer see you. You headed downstairs and into the kitchen. You saw many things out of place, Loki perhaps went exploring about the place when he was gone for cooling off. You put the dishes in and went back upstairs with a weird feeling in your tummy. You perhaps were going to have the most interesting afternoon of your life.

You entered the room only to find Loki with his legs crossed on the floor, sitting erect and gracefully with your mythology dictionary in hand. His focus completely turned to you when you entered. You felt possessed with his faint smile.

"I find my definitions to be rather—linear" he said as you walked towards him to sit down.

"But I must admit that this book has some correct assumptions in it. Unfortunately, the universe is wider than humans' views of it" Loki sighed and put the book on the spot he'd taken it and looked over you like he expected something.

You knew well what that was. You took a deep breath and started your story from the very beginning. You went into great detail about how you met that boy and the vivid memories of good times you had for four years. You realized four years seemed very short for Loki but the intensity of your memories kept him interested in your story, no matter how many times you blamed him for your pain. As he constantly wondered how two humans could bond in such ways and be able to walk away from each other so easily, you told him of the bitter feelings you experienced since the break up and how loneliness caused you to choose death. Loki was absolutely amazed, you felt like he underestimated humans too much.

"It's amazing what disappointment and loneliness can cause in a good heart, even if it's a human" you said sarcastically. Loki was looking down at his hands. You were caught off guard with how sad he looked as if he could nurture feelings somehow.

"I know that very well" he said quietly.

"Do you?" you said, taking your book and putting it back in the shelf. You turned around to stare at him. He looked helpless, tired and less evil in comparison. Was it just your imagination? You couldn't decide.

"I know you're Thor's brother. Evil brother. But why is that really so? What really led you to try to invade my planet?" you said taking a couple steps towards him.

"I only promised to tell you why I'm here" he demanded and got up from his spot. Now you both were standing up awkwardly. Great. Loki put his hands together on his back and started walking back and forth in your room. You quickly sat on your bed, watching his god-like body.

"Well, he IS a God" you thought. "Why does he have to look so perfect?" your mind started drifting.

"I was sent here to save you from your particular... act" he said with a smile and continued walking.

"Although I am suspecting that you perhaps did not need my assistance to survive anyway, if my calculations are correct of course" he said with a relaxed expression. He was confusing you more than explaining himself. You gave him a stupid look and he chuckled.

"There is a prophecy which was thought to be only a myth before. So it is not known by many, mostly forgotten. It says that there will be a special being that can contain ancient powers and he or 'she' may be the key to stop Ragnarok. If you even know what that is" he stopped and stared at you.

"You mean the end of everything? It starts when all the worlds start attacking each other... Asgard, Anaheim, Alfheim, Jotunheim and all of the other ones I can't remember right now. Everyone dies and the worlds mix like pudding" you explained him with a bored face. He looked at you puzzled.

"Have I surprised you with my knowledge?" you said, smirking.

"No, I just don't know what pudding is." Loki said stroking his hair back.

Not sure if you should have cried or laughed for your situation, you nevertheless covered your face with your hands and did not want to look up again as you were about to burst into a laugh.
