You still had trouble understanding what the case was with you. So you were a special being of some sort that was going to save the universe? You were somehow thrilled by the idea as you compared the scenario with the super hero movies you'd watched before. But you had a sudden pain in your gut as you told yourself that you were hearing the news from the God of Mischief.

"I still have to make sure if you really are that being. But in order to do so, I need to acquire my weapon that I lost after what happened here, the scepter" Loki stopped walking.

"Why would you want to save the world all of a sudden? Becoming a humanitarian now?" you said, going back on the bed to lean on the wall.

"I guess I just have to explain..."Loki sighed and stared at you for a moment and then headed towards your TV table again. He came to a halt and headed towards the chair by your desk instead. He pulled the chair in front of your bed and sat down. You watched him, startled. Then Loki started telling you about his childhood, his brother and how Asgard was governed by Odin. After hearing that Loki was not the son of Odin you felt an extraordinary feeling—pity. Listening to how he figured he was a frost giant sent intense chills down your spine. The way he felt like a monster, a burden and a mere tool nevertheless couldn't change your fury based on your loss. He then talked about how Bifrost was destroyed and he was cast out of Asgard. His sad story would appeal to any human intellect and mind, yet you were surprised that Loki was not trying to be apologetic about his actions. You felt no hesitation or embarrassment coming from him as he explained how he used the scepter to enslave people during the invasion. Peril was everywhere of this story. For you, the most poisoning part was when he was captured in Asgard for a year. You saw that his suffering in the cell was the ever-abiding remembrance of his past. You felt sorry for him, you truly did and you understood him perfectly but your pain was a solid wall between you. Besides, you always knew there were two sides to a coin.

"I need the scepter. The tesseract will be obtained by my ally. And you..." he paused and pointed at you. "You just may be the last piece to the puzzle." He added.

"Are you aware that no matter how mean your life could have been... you 'chose' this path yourself?" for some reason you did not care about Ragnarok more than Loki's resolution.

"There was no way to remain in Asgard knowing I was a monster, degraded and would never be KING!" he snarled.

"That's why you chose here. Thor's favorite place was perfect to invade—especially considering the weak species." You sighed. "Like I said... loneliness can do many things." You looked away from Loki's saddened eyes.

"You think me weak?" Loki said, slightly bothered.

"If thinking after all you still might have a heart is... then yes I suppose" you frowned and crossed your arms. Loki tightened his grasp on the chair.

"Just because one person or two... betray you doesn't mean all will. What you think of yourself is only your perception Loki. It doesn't have to be that way; you don't have to be a monster even though now you are deep in trouble. It's never too late to turn things around." You desperately wanted to help him, you had no idea why.

"Says the one who attempted suicide yesterday" Loki said, narrowing his eyes.

"What if I choose not to help you?" you snapped back.

"I'm afraid you do not have the option" he said firmly.

"Oh the mighty Avengers..." you started humming.

"Is that a threat?" Loki whispered.

"You may call upon such lost creatures to defend you oh let not I be an obstacle" he said, adding a frown to his narrowed eyes with sarcasm overflowing on all muscles on his face.

"Such a shame... If we're to posses all the artifacts, you will have immeasurable power. The tesseract is so strong that it could rebuild the Bifrost in a 'day'. If you can control even a bit of this power, you might be able to restore your friend back to life" Loki gently said as he got up from the chair with a relaxed expression.

"But be my guest, call on the Aven—"

"What do I have to do?" you interrupted and your jaw locked, not able to protest against his silver tongue anymore.
