After Thor guiding you to your room, you took a nice warm shower and dressed in the most extravagant dress you could find since you knew you'd be the shiny new doll of the Asgardian royalty table tonight. You stared at yourself in the mirror and grunted since you didn't bring any eyeliner with you. Nevertheless, you were glad that you didn't forget your toothbrush or your perfume. After brushing your teeth and putting on the perfume, you took a moment to stare at yourself in the mirror. You looked extremely different, almost a stranger to yourself.
You saw that your hair color was a fairer shade and the blue color of your arms distracted you, it was a more pale shade. It gave you the impression that your body was accepting the Jotun skin; it almost looked natural if not for the contrast it created with the rest of your body. Your eyes went over the beautiful tear cut gem resting on your chest and your eyes automatically filled with tears. You wondered where Loki was and what he was doing again. It felt like it'd been years since you last saw him even though it was just a couple days. The fact that you missed him dearly was complete madness. You reminded yourself that if you didn't teleport you were most likely Thanos' slave wife now. You shook off the thoughts and headed outside, awkwardly waiting for Thor to get out of his room so he could escort you.
You were surprised to see that his armor set lacked the metal sets on the arms this time; his huge arms were exposed to your view. He smiled at you and seemed once more taken away by your beauty. He lent you his arm which felt too warm against yours.
"I'm afraid Fandral will be chasing you around tonight. I can't blame him" he chuckled and looked at you from head to toe with a smirk. You sighed and hid your face with your free hand. Was Thor...flirting with you too? You held your breath with stress and released it, not sure what you could do about it without giving away the fact that you loved Loki. You were already worried that Odin was aware of the fact.
You entered the huge dining hall. The table was the longest you'd ever seen in your entire life. You recalled how Loki organized that breakfast table that morning; you could already see the pattern in the design of the table. You sighed and looked around to the unfamiliar faces that scanned you so eagerly. You even heard some women talking to each other quietly and saying that you looked just like a couple with Thor on your arm. This surely wasn't something you wanted people saying, you only loved person—the person every single Asgardian hated in this room. You gulped and sat on the spot Thor guided you to; it was very close to the left end of the table. You saw the big chair that was clearly reserved for the king. Across you were queen Frigga and lady Eir who gave you soft smiles. You bowed your head in respect and Thor sat right next to you, on your other side was lady Sif.
"I think we can leave for Vanaheim at midnight. Time is essential" Thor whispered, you saw his mother's eyes watching you both with kindness. You begged to God in your head that she wasn't thinking the same thoughts passing through all the ladies' minds in this room, seeing you fit with her son. Although considering all the circumstances, you decided that Thor was the type of man to deserve you, he had a soft heart and most importantly he was honest, carrying no bad thoughts in his mind towards anyone or anything. It didn't matter anyway as you pictured Loki smiling at you by the shore.
"I'm game, are we going alone?" you whispered back to Thor, leaning closer to him. You could feel lady Sif sitting so still to hear your conversation.
"That way we can pass by many places unseen, just imagine having Fandral with us" he chuckled under his breath.
You joined him in his muffled giggle, before you could make a funny remark about him the doors of the hall opened and Odin entered with no expression on his face at all. Everyone stood up; you joined everyone in their silence to respect the old God. He came to his designated seat and looked over the table to glance over the crowd, his final stare was on you—he smiled so faintly that you couldn't decide if he really did. Not to risk the situation, you smiled at him and bowed your head.
"My people, we are here tonight to welcome ____(y/n) to Asgard and show her our hospitality. I hope that she will enjoy her stay, I'd like to thank Eir for taking such good care of her and also my son and the warriors three for showing her the ways of true Asgardian warriors. Now enjoy the feast" he said and took his seat.
You lost yourself in the eccentric Asgardian food, Thor was eating like a beast but you were not following him in the amount with much difference. Fandral was giving you stares and chuckling because of your enthusiasm in the food. Volstagg admired the way you ate from across the table; he already was drunk with wine and laughed so loudly that everyone would frequently stare at him.
"____(y/n)" Odin's voice boomed through the constant laughs at the other end of the table. You decided to get up and go next to him to save yourself from failing in hearing him. You smiled at Thor and went to Odin's side and leaned closer to him.
"I heard of your quick progress. I'm very pleased with your determination. When you leave tonight, I want you to follow Thor's orders without question. I trust him more than anyone in the universe and I can assure you that you can too. If you succeed in learning what Thanos' next move is, to show Asgard's gratitude, I will proclaim you an Asgardian princess" he said and gave you the most distinct smile you'd ever seen him give you. You were thrilled by the idea! You smiled widely and thanked him, going back to your seat.
"Oh my god, Thor!" you couldn't contain yourself on the seat as you awkwardly moved. He looked at you with a questioning face.
"Your dad said, if we succeed, he will proclaim me an Asgardian princess!" you almost shrieked with excitement. He laughed.
"But becoming an Asgardian princess means you will take an oath to establish allegiance with this realm for the rest of your life. It's not just a title, I'm sure you don't know that" he said and gulped on some wine.
"How bad can it be? I'm not that bad of a fighter right? I can defend Asgard!" you smiled brightly, you heard Sif sigh next to you.
"It's not really about becoming a warrior, ____(y/n). You will be bound by blood to this realm. You will have to obey my father's decisions regarding Asgard's best interest" he said with worry.
"Well, I am the prophesized being" you mocked him. He softly elbowed you and laughed out.
"Oh shut up!" he said, he seemed a little tipsy to you and you chatted with your Asgardian friends for the rest of the dinner. In the back of your mind, you thought of Loki with disappointment. You wished he was there with you.
