The Next Day

Day woke up in the morning to open the door for the housekeeper to come in and clean, and he had to help Brick prepare things to take little Ob for his vaccination. Nan, Mac, and Night were staying over at Day's house, while Keith had a bodyguard to take him home as well.

"Are those guys awake yet?" Brick asked about their friends.

"Only Night is up. He’ll join us while the others can stay at home for now," Day replied. He had already told the housekeeper not to clean the rooms where Nan and Mac were staying, including Night's room, because there were still people sleeping. They trusted their housekeeper as she was recommended by their grandmother.

"It’s good to have Night along," Brick answered with a smile.

"Are you ready to handle Ob's sickness tonight?" Day teased, to which Brick chuckled softly.

"I’m used to it now. Luckily, little Ob doesn’t fuss much, just a bit moody and clinging to me a lot," Brick replied, smiling. Once everything was prepared, they brought Ob down to find Night on the lower floor. Night took little Ob into his arms since he would be sitting in the back seat next to Ob's car seat.

"Aunt Pen, if we finish with everything and we’re still not back, please close the house and go ahead and return home, okay?" Day said to the housekeeper.

"Okay," Aunt Pen replied with a smile. Night held little Ob to sit in the car seat while Brick got into the seat beside the driver.

"Waahh... waahh!" Little Ob's loud cry resounded, causing Brick to lean over the seat and immediately look at his son.

"Papa's right here; I’m not going anywhere," Brick said, knowing that little Ob couldn’t see him, which is why he made that noise. When little Ob saw Brick, he smiled widely.

"P'Brick is so great to know what little Ob wants," Night remarked.

"To be honest, I don’t really know, but it seems after taking care of him for six months, I can guess a bit," Brick replied with a smile, playfully teasing his son to keep his spirits up. Little Ob smiled back. When Day saw everyone was ready, he drove off immediately, while Night kept entertaining his nephew along the way. Little Ob had gotten used to the car seat, so he didn’t fuss at all; in fact, he was about to fall asleep.

"Does he just want to sleep as soon as he meets the air conditioning?" Night joked. Eventually, they let him sleep until they arrived at the hospital. Day prepared the stroller for little Ob, and it seemed that little Ob knew; as soon as the car stopped, he woke up immediately. Day opened the door on little Ob's side and lifted him into the child stroller.

"Whaaa!" The same loud sound came up again, and Day shook his head immediately.

"What could be bothering you so much?" Day complained lightly.

"Probably just like P'Day, who often clings to P'Brick," Night teased. Brick smiled shyly before walking over to let his son see his face. When little Ob saw Brick, it was as if he knew Brick was still close by, so he didn’t fuss anymore. The three of them proceeded to check in with the staff since they came for the doctor’s appointment. After that, they got into the examination room. Night recorded the moment to send to Keith. The doctor conducted a check-up, including measuring height and weight.

"8.5 kilograms," the female doctor said with a smile. Little Ob was wiggling his legs on the weighing scale.

"We’ve been giving him supplements in addition to milk lately," Brick replied. The doctor smiled in acknowledgment and also recommended some supplementary foods for six-month-old babies, followed by other health checks.
