Neil&Nick Extra 6

After Neil and Nick's boat trip, the woman visited the garage the next day, talking about the car and then leaving.  She visited periodically afterward, not every day, and also called Neil. She wasn't calling or visiting as frequently as she had initially, but Nick knew he shouldn't trust her yet. Importantly, whenever she came, she always brought snacks and treats for the office staff, acting as if she were very close to Nick and Neil.

Like today, she came to the garage and brought fruit for the staff, including Neil and Nick, before leaving. She said she'd just stopped by and bought some things.  With anyone else, Nick might not think much of it, but because it was Pam, he couldn't help but be suspicious.

Today was the day Neil and Nick were going to Nan's restaurant. Day and Brick were celebrating because Phim, Brick's older sister, had successfully had an embryo implanted, guaranteeing that Day and Brick were going to have a baby. After showering and getting ready, the two left the house immediately.  Upon arrival, Nan came to greet them.  They were celebrating in the VIP room on the second floor.

"Gear and Night arrived, Keith is here too. Others are on their way, but some couldn't make it," Nan explained. Neil nodded before walking arm-in-arm with Nick to the VIP room.

"Come on in!" Gear said when he saw Neil and Nick enter.

"What’s this?" Nick asked, noticing something on the table.

"Rainbow cones!  The plan is, when Day and Brick walk in, we’ll pull out the cones and celebrate with them," Gear explained, because he had bought them as a surprise.

"Oh, good! It’s going to surprise Brick for sure," Nick said slowly, before ordering drinks and settling in.

"Mr Roman didn't come, Keith?" Neil asked Keith.

"He went to Italy," Keith replied briefly.  A moment later, he announced that Day and Brick had arrived and Nan was going downstairs to greet them. Nick and the others immediately picked up rainbow cones.

Whoosh!  The sound of the cones being pulled echoed as rainbows shot out just as Day and Brick stepped into the VIP room, causing them to pause slightly.

"Yay! The soon-to-be fathers have arrived!" Gear exclaimed jokingly, as everyone applauded, making Brick laugh while Day shook his head at everyone's dramatic display.

"Have a seat," Keith said with a smile. Day and Brick went to sit in the empty seats everyone had saved for them. Night, sitting next to Day, immediately put his arm around his brother's waist.

"Congratulations, P'Day. I'm about to be an uncle," Night said with a smile. Day gently patted his brother's head, and they chatted and greeted each other until the others started to arrive: Khamol, Kim, Kom, Ohm, and Two. They all drank and talked, congratulating Day and Brick.

Ring.. ring.. ring

Neil's phone rang. Nick, sitting next to him, heard it and looked over.  Seeing the incoming number, his expression immediately tightened.

"I'll take this call outside," Neil said before getting up and leaving the VIP room because the room was quite loud with music and conversation.

"What's wrong?" Brick asked his friend worriedly, noticing Nick's bad mood. Nick sighed softly.

"Nothing," Nick replied.

"There's something wrong; you wouldn't be acting like this otherwise. Tell me," Brick insisted.

"It's your special day; I don't want to spoil the mood," Nick said, making Brick even more curious.

"So what if it's my special day? If my best friend is having a problem, I don't care if it's a good day or a bad day," Brick retorted. They spoke quietly. Nick sighed again.
