After returning from Huai Mae Khamin waterfall, the visitors from Bangkok headed straight back to the city.  But Day and Brick remained in Kanchanaburi because they had to attend Phum's ordination ceremony. Although Phum is gay, he still presents himself as a man; he doesn't dress as a woman or have breast augmentation.  He wanted to ordain as a monk to fulfill his parents' wishes.

Ring... ring... ring

Day's phone rang. Day picked it up and answered.

"What's up?  Yes… Um… Okay, come on in… Okay," Day said to the caller. Brick looked on curiously.  At that moment, Brick was following their young son, Anda, who was trying to crawl all over the house.

"Who was that?" Brick asked.  He wasn't accusing his lover; it was just a casual question.

"Bank. He's bringing Phum over," Day replied.

"Hmm? What for? To talk about the ordination?" Brick asked.

"Probably," Day said.  Soon, Bank and Phum arrived. Bank led Phum into Day and Brick's house. Phum looked somewhat hesitant, stopping short when he saw the children. He knew Day and Brick had a child together, but he had never met the children before.

"Sorry to bother you," Phum said apologetically.

"Have a seat," Brick invited.  Although they hadn't gotten along very well in the past, Phum wasn't causing any more trouble for Day and Brick, so Brick didn't want to think too much about it.

"Thank you," Phum replied, looking at young Anda with interest.  Partly, it was because Phum liked children.  Seeing Anda's fair skin, he wanted to play with him.

"Ob, greet Uncle Phum," Brick said. Ob, who was putting together a jigsaw puzzle, looked up and bowed.

"Hello, Uncle," Ob said and then went back to his puzzle.

"He doesn't pay much attention to anyone when he's doing his jigsaw puzzles," Brick explained.

"Oh, I see," Phum replied, before remembering why he was there. The young man handed Day an invitation card, which Day opened.

"I think P'Belle already told you two that I'm going to be ordained, so I brought the invitation card. The dinner is in the evening at…" Phum stated the location of the rented venue, which was a closed, air-conditioned hall—not an outdoor event.

"Which temple?" Day asked. Phum named a temple near his home. Day nodded.

"On the morning of the ordination, if you two are free, please come," Phum said.

"If nothing comes up, we'll be there.  It's not that we don't want to come; we're just worried about these two kids. If they don't act up too much, we'll bring them," Brick said.

"Okay," Phum replied.  At least he wanted to invite them personally, even though he felt a little nervous.

"Well, I should go now.  I came with Bank, and I need to deliver other invitations," Phum said. Day and Brick agreed, and Phum left Day and Brick's house. Bank remained.

"Phum called me. He said he wanted to tell you about the ordination and give you the invitation cards himself, but he didn't dare come alone, so he asked me to come with him," Bank explained.

"Honestly, we don't mind anymore. Phum hasn't caused any trouble at all," Brick said, expressing his true feelings.  And Brick was confident that Phum had moved on from Day.

"Are you two coming to the ceremony?  P'Phai and I got invitations, and so did P'Pom and P'Belle," Bank asked. Brick looked at Day, leaving the decision to Day since Brick didn't mind either way.
