Porsche's Pov

I've started attending the family business meetings. After all, I need to take responsibility for the streets under our control. Until now, Chay and Jin had been handling it with Kim's help. But now, it's time to step up and manage the business myself.

Today's meeting was with another gang that controlled a street we shared. We were negotiating for another street. I recognized their eldest son, Chen, from school. We had both attended the same Omega boarding school. Back then, everyone laughed at me for thinking I could ever be an alpha. Chen, in particular, was the ringleader of the bullying. But now, I had to put aside those memories and focus on business.

"It's so nice to see you, Porsche. How have you been? Who would've thought you'd survive? It must've been terrible being there." Chen's tone was honeyed, but I knew he was fishing for information.

"I'm fine. Let's focus on what matters now," I replied coldly.

"You've always been so tough..." Chen smirked.

Kinn took my hand under the table, grounding me. He quickly redirected the conversation, but the whole time, I couldn't stop thinking about how everyone knew. Everyone knows about Ling.

I hope it fades as Prapai grows older. I hope even his memories of Ling will disappear...

"Porsche, are you planning to manage the front line?" Chen asked.

"Of course, after all, this territory belongs to my family," I answered curtly.

"And how exactly do you plan to do that?" Chen asked, smirking.

"If you have something to say, just say it," I replied.

"For three years, you were under Ling's control and his family's thumb. How do you think you'll manage the street when there are families bigger than his who want to take over?" Chen pointed out, causing murmurs to ripple through the table.

"Porsche survived three years; he..." Kinn began, but I cut him off.

"Yes, I was under Ling's control for three years... which is precisely why I know our enemies better than anyone. I know which families sided with Ling while pretending to be your allies."

"What?" Chen asked.

"Didn't you know the family you're doing business with sold off some of your goods?" My words silenced Chen and the rest of the table.

"I know every move Ling planned and the deals he struck to bring down every family in Thailand... including you."

Kinn smiled at me, and I could feel his pride radiating toward me.

After the meeting ended, I stood in the corridor when Chen approached me.

"Hey, sorry if I offended you earlier," Chen said.

"You didn't," I replied, glancing at the patterned shirt on his back.

"Love my shirt? Want me to tell you where to buy it?" Chen said.
