Porsche POV – Middle of the Night
I'm already nine months and two weeks pregnant. Why won't this baby come out of me? I want to sleep on my stomach, I want to drink, I want to smoke... and I'm so sick of waking up in the middle of the night. Lucky for me, Kinn doesn't mind staying up with me.
"Kinn? Kinn?"
"Yeah... my..... love," Kinn said in a groggy voice.
"I can't sleep. I think I..." I couldn't even finish my sentence.
Kinn sat up quickly. "Is the baby coming?!"
"No, I'm hungry," I said simply.
Kinn glanced at his phone's clock. "But you ate half an hour ago."
"What does that have to do with anything? Are you trying to imply something?"
"So... a burger?" Kinn asked with a smile, already knowing exactly what I want to eat.
"I don't want anything." I lied and lay back down to sleep.
"I'll order onion rings too..." Kinn placed the order.
"And fries..." I said quietly.
"I already added them," Kinn said.
"And a Coke."
"I already added that too," Kinn said.
"Thanks..." I whispered.
"Porsche, are you okay?" Kinn asked, trying to turn me toward him.
"No, I'm not!"
"Talk to me," Kinn said, hugging me.
"I just want to give birth already, and your kid won't let me," I said in frustration.
Kinn sat at the end of the bed and started massaging my legs. "Is this better?"
"Yes... ahh," I sighed in relief.
"Porsche, I know this is hard for you, just a little longer. The doctor also said that if you don't give birth in the next few days, she'll induce labor."
"I know..."
"This just proves that the baby takes after you."
"And how did you come to that conclusion?" I asked, annoyed.
"He's as stubborn as you." Kinn chuckled to himself.
"That's not funny..."
"I wasn't laughing..." Kinn said. "I actually hope he looks like you too."
"Why? You're pretty handsome yourself... if we ignore the bear nose and snake eyes."
Kinn laughed. "Thanks for the compliment."
"Always here to support you," I said with a smile. "I wonder what would've happened if we were together back in school."
"If it were up to me, you would've been pregnant at sixteen," Kinn said as he moved to massage my knee.
"Wild," I replied.
"Why? It's not like we didn't almost get there on your heat that day."
"You always love bringing that up..." I grumbled.
"Of course, it was the first time we kissed," Kinn said with a smile.
I felt flustered. "Ahhh," a sharp pain shot through my back.
Kinn straightened up, waiting for my reaction.
"I'm fine. It's probably just another false alarm."
"Maybe we should go to the doctor?"
