So before we start this chap sorry thus took so long but this chapter was a weird one.
(Y/n Pov)
"What are you giving Muss Bustier for her birthday, Rose?" Jules asked Rose as we stood by my locker. "I made her a scrapbook," Rose told us, and then they turned to me. "Well, I got her a dinner for 2 at Le Grand Paris." Rose gasped, "But how it's so hard to make a reservation." I shrugged my shoulders. "Not if you were the best star for a cooking show." They looked at me seriously. "I'm kidding, I had Natalie call. Plus, they got my discount from the show. Besides, she's the best teacher ever, the least I could do." I told them, taking the letter out of my bag. I showed them, and Rose smiled.
"Plus, I wrote her a song."
As I closed my locker, I saw how everyone talked about their gift, how much they cared for Miss, and where they were comparing gifts. It wasn't a contest, as Miss cared for us all equally, even Chlo, as most of the class seemed to forget.
"I painted her as a superhero because she's always here for us," Nathaniel told Kim and Nino.
"I'll give her a braid of hair to thank her for her breathing class. It helps me to be less afraid of Akumas." Mylène told Ivan.
"I got my inspiration from the exercise she has us do at the beginning of every class," Rose tells us as Alix joins us, bringing my attention back to the girls. "Isn't it great to start the day by sharing a few kind words with each other?" I nodded.
"How 'bout you, Marinette? I'm sure you've come up with something awesome, as usual." Adrien asked Marinette as he and Nino walked over to Marinette's locker.
"Oh, me? Uh... It's nearly roughing at all. Uh! I mean... It's really nothing at all! 'If we wish to change the world, we must all learn to love each other.' That's one of the first things Miss Bustier taught us when we first met her at school. I always keep it in mind." Marinette told us as she showed us the bag she made.
"Aww!" Most of the class said this before Chlo slammed her locker shut. "I also added this lip balm tube, Miss Bustier's favourite colour!" Marinette then took out the lip balm from the bag. "Come to think of it, Miss Bustier is probably the reason we all get along so awesomely," Alya commented, and I nodded. "Yeah, she definitely is," I told the class as I leaned against my locker. "We're so lucky to get a teacher like her for my first year in school. How about you, Chloé? What's your present?" Adrien then turned his attention to Chlo.
Chlo doesn't say anything; she glances at everyone, and her eyes land on me. I can see the sadness in her eyes.
"Nothing. Just like every year since kindergarten." Marinette told the class I got off my locker and stopped leaning on it. "Grow up, Marinette. It's not a contest, and why does it matter?" I told the girl as I glared. Sabrina then stood in front of Chlo. "It's not her fault, okay? Chloé just doesn't like birthdays! She never remembers them, just like her mom." Sabrina confessed, which was true, as Chlo never remembered mine or Adrien, but I understood.
Chlo smiled at me before glaring at Sabrina as she pulled her back. "Yeah, well, you don't have to tell 'em my life story, either. Anyway, all that stuff about compliments and love? Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Chlo defended herself, but it was obvious Marinette's comment hurt.
"This girl's got no heart." Marinette 'whispered' to Alya, but everyone heard. "Uh, of course, I have a heart! Daddy will even buy me a second one if I want." Chlo defended herself once again, and the bell rang.
Everyone left, leaving Sabrina, CHlo, and I. "Look, Chlo, don't listen to Marinette. I know you never remember any birthdays; it's okay." "Yeah, whatever, don't you have class." She turned to me, and I nodded. "yeah, see you two in class then."
