I jump up from Katniss' screams and see a thick fog making its way closer and closer to us. Before I know it Finnick is pulling me up from the cot and we are all running away.

Finnick is holding my hand to keep me steady and Katniss is helping Peeta and keeping him close. We must've left them behind because Finnick stops us and we turn around to see them just barely in front of the fog.

We watch as Peeta falls over, the fog now eating at his leg. Katniss is trying to help him, but it's no use. Finnick and I ran over to them. I take Katniss and Finnick helps Peeta up.

The feeling of the fog goes up my left arm. It turns out that this fog doesn't just make your skin blister, but it somehow targets your nerves. My arm is shaking, but I keep it behind Katniss' back as I push her forward.

Katniss is stumbling on her feet. Her legs must've gotten caught in the fog.

I keep her semi in front of me. I watch as Finnick struggles to keep Peeta running. I feel the fog eat away at my back and my screams get caught in my throat. I push Katniss in front of me where I see Finnick and Peeta laying on the ground. "Finnick!" I yell.

I can't see if he's alive. He's just lying there, not moving. I feel the fog on my foot as I creep up to where the rest of my group is lying. My whole body is twitching and when I turn back to see where the fog is I realize that this is where we will die.

I take a breath before I shut my eyes.

An agonizing pain wakes me up. I feel as if my entire body is on fire. The one thing that I can't believe is how I'm alive and breathing right now. "The water helps the blisters." Katniss says in a soft voice.

I look up and look where I am. The two district 12 victors must've dragged me to the beach to help me. "Finnick." I say, my voice is hoarse and scratchy.

"Peeta is getting him over here now." Katniss says. "It would be easier to help you if you got in the water."

I nod my head subtly and slowly stand up to get to the ocean. As soon as I'm in, the burning sensation hits me again. It only takes a few seconds until my entire body doesn't sting anymore.

I look over to the woods and I see Katniss helping Peeta drag Finnick's body to the ocean. I walk out of the water and help them slowly drop him in. His screams pierce the air when his back hits the water.
I cup his face in my hands and softly talk to him. "It's going to help. You're okay." I whisper. I cup water in my hand and help get some of the blisters off his neck. "You're okay."
