Taehyung's gaze lingered on the woman before him; it was the first time he saw her in such a raw state, stripped of her usual facade, leaving her unrecognizable and hauntingly fragile. There were bruises all over her, evidence of the struggles and torture she had been enduring while confined in the darkness. Her eyes, dark and empty, locked onto Taehyung's. In them, he could see a haunting blend of fear and defiance swirling within their depths.

No trace of pity crossed Taehyung's expression as he continued to look into her eyes. All too real were the injustices he had suffered, and the memories of his loved ones who had died brought them rushing back to him. He became even more enraged and determined to exact revenge due to this. He knew he could not rest until he made those responsible pay for what they had done to him.

"Please, please kill me." Sunja cried as she crawled towards Taehyung on her knees. The anguish that consumed her was unbearable, far exceeding any form of physical torment she had ever encountered. The realization that she had inflicted pain upon her son was a heavy burden, one she struggled to comprehend. He was not just her child; he was the very core of her existence, her sole reason for living, and to think that she had brought him suffering felt like a devastating betrayal.

Each time she closed her eyes, memories of his laughter and joy became haunting reminders of her failure as a mother. The guilt she felt was a pitiless shackle, keeping her bound in a state of despair and regret. She found herself unable to ask to see him, paralyzed by the fear of facing the hurt she had caused.

The days locked away had turned into an agonizing blur as she was isolated, each moment a cruel reminder of her choices. It felt as if a sharp blade was digging deeper into her soul, twisting painfully with every thought of him. No nightmare could compare to the horror of knowing that her mistakes had led to his suffering. She longed to turn back time, to erase the moments that had brought him such pain, but all she could do was endure the torment of her reality, trapped in a cycle of regret.

Taehyung gazed down at her with disgust and anger within him. He found it hard to accept that she was on her knees, begging him to end her life. Although this had been his ultimate aim, witnessing her desperation and pleas struck him as a serious injustice. It seemed almost effortless, and he was reluctant to allow her a sense of ease; he wanted her to experience suffering. He wanted her to truly understand what it meant to endure pain, to feel the burden of her sins completely.

When she looked up at him, her eyes filled with desperation, and her words came out again—begging, crying, pleading for his mercy—it made him laugh. It intensified the dark desire within him, pushing him to keep her trapped in a cycle of suffering instead of giving her the comfort she truly needed.

Thanks to her, his life had never been easy; it seemed as if everything he cherished had been snatched away. She had subjected him to years of suffering; her ruthless acts had always caused a cloud of misery to hang over him, as her lack of compassion left him feeling abandoned and alone, never once offering a glimmer of kindness or understanding. Each day of his life had felt like a new challenge, and despite his efforts to rise above, he was constantly pulled back into the depths of despair she had created, and now, he was determined to make sure she felt the same way.

"Do you think I'd make it that easy for you?" Taehyung chuckled, amused by her audacity to believe it would be easy. He pushed her away with a swift kick, his foot connecting with her midsection. She stumbled back, gasping as pain flickered across her face. The sight brought a sly smile to his lips; there was a certain pleasure in holding the upper hand. Yet, as he watched her struggle to regain her balance, he realized that satisfying as it was, the moment felt strangely incomplete. It was as if he yearned for something more, to see her more desperate and begging.
