Taken aback by the question, Jin blinked, "Jungkook?" he repeated, confused.

"Yes, Seokjin!" Taehyung yelled. "Where is Jungkook, and why has he been visiting you when others have not been allowed? Is there a reason for that?"

"W-what are you talking about? Jungkook hasn't been here. Who said he was?" Jin asked, clearly confused by Taehyung's sudden visit and his questions. His confusion turned into concern when he noticed bloodstains on Taehyung's hand. "Why is there blood on your hand? Are you hurt?" he asked.

"One of your guards was being extremely difficult. Therefore, I felt it necessary to educate him that the rules you set for others do not extend to me as your Alpha."

Jin swallowed hard at Taehyung's words. "Taehyung, you are no longer my Alpha."

Jin's harsh words struck Taehyung hard. "Aren't you just the epitome of selfishness?" he erupted. The room became filled with the heavy tension between them as his gaze hardened onto Seokjin. "You were the one who had the power to decide whether we were mated in the first place," he continued as he began pacing back and forth, trying to control his emotions.

"And then, when it suited your needs, you coldly chose to break our bond! Tell me, why is it always your choice, Seokjin? Why is it that my feelings, my desires, seem to hold no weight in your world?"

Seokjin's expression turned cold as he retorted, "It's a trait I suppose I inherited from my mother. You remember her well, don't you? You hated her so deeply for the misery she inflicted upon your life that it drove you to the lengths of taking her life!"

"She murdered my mother! She almost killed you, and she killed our baby! I have no remorse about killing her, and if that is why you destroyed our bond, then be it; if I could kill her again, I would do so a million times and slowly!" Taehyung shouted.

His eyes locked onto Jin's as he added, "For the record, I want to make it clear that you are nothing like your mother. You have your own unique qualities and strengths that set you apart from her. So do yourself a favor and do not minimize yourself to that level!

You don't have the same manipulative skills or dark tendencies that she had, and your character, although selfish, is far more compassionate and genuine."

"Maybe I am selfish!" Jin yelled. "Which is ultimately why I chose to break the bond we shared. In trying to prioritize my own feelings and desires, I realized that my actions only served to impose pain on you and everyone around us.

I made the difficult decision to break our bond, hoping that in doing so, I could release you from the burden of the repeated struggles and torture my family and I kept you in and, in turn, allow you to find your own happiness! Our situation had become a cycle of pain, one that I no longer wanted to subject you to."

Taehyung stood in disbelief, his heart aching. "Seokjin, how could you possibly think this would make me happy? Did you ever truly stop to consider what would genuinely help me feel whole again? We've faced unimaginable loss together! Our child is no longer with us; my mother was killed, and your own mother nearly took you away from me in an attempt to end my life.

Yet, in your desperate quest to free me from pain, you believed that sacrificing our bond would somehow ease my suffering? Don't you see how selfish that is? Your choice disregarded my grief and the pain I carry every day. Instead of offering comfort and support, your actions have left me feeling more lost and alone than ever."

"How on earth was I supposed to provide you any support or comfort in such a situation? What exactly did you expect from me, Taehyung?" Jin's voice escalated. "We were both consumed in our own deep wounds; I could feel the intensity of your pain in that moment, just as I feel it now, like a weight suffocating me. We were caught in a storm, Taehyung, each battling our own chaos, and somehow, you thought I could reach out and save us both?" Jin yelled in disbelief as tears filled his eyes.
