Succesful Hunt

The cold breeze was felt by both me and Riser. It's been a few long hours of hiking, climbing and enduring this harsh weather. Phoenix was kind enough to let me borrow her son for a hunting trip. He was against it at first but quickly changed his mind when I reminded him of past events. I like it out here. There's no noise in here, no screams, no distractions. Riser is still nagging from time to time but he's easily shut with just a gaze.

Hunting isn't just about the kill. It's about the chase, the patience, the waiting. There's a certain rhythm to it. I follow tracks, watch for signs of life. The hardest part about hunting is finding out what your pray is. Luckily today I know who and what to hunt. A rogue dragon with blue scales and a scar to his belly.

Riser: Can we stop and rest?

Legend: No.

Riser: But I'm freezing to death!

Legend: It's part of the process.

Riser: What process!?

Legend: The rehabilitation one.

You can try as much as you want but there's no changing this douchebag.

Riser: Is the dragon at least close?

Legend: He should be a mile and a half north-east.

Riser: And how far is that?

Legend: Around three thousand steps.

Riser: Can't we just fly?

Can't you just slap him?

Legend: You do that and I'll shoot you mid-flight.

Riser: What did I do to deserve this?

Did he seriously ask that?

Legend: Fine, we'll set up camp here. See that cave over there? Run to it in under three minutes and I'll even let you drink coffee.

You should shoot him from behind. It will make him run faster.

Riser: What cave?

Legend: Two minutes fifty seconds.

The poor kid started running like he was being chased by The Legend of The Night. He was twenty seconds behind but I forgave him. Seems like he's got poor endurance, he was so out of breath he couldn't even speak to me.

Legend: Here, hot coffee.

If only you'd make me a hot coffee.

Riser: Ugh... it's bitter.

Legend: No sugar for you princess.

Riser: This is the worst day of my life.

That's a lie. The worst day of his life was when you humiliate him in front of his own peerage. That was fun.

Legend: Believe me there will be a lot worse coming up.

Riser: I thought you can't use magic.

Legend: That's a correct statement.

Riser: But you started the fire with a hand gesture.

Legend: Well, I know some tricks. Although I don't like to call it magic. Mine doesn't use mana, instead it drains my stamina.

Which is infinite.

Riser: Magic that doesn't use mana? Where did you learn it?

Legend: It's not magic. I don't know how to explain it to you. Interesting, I can see the girls from here.
